Just ask @cosine he knows!
Hey, we got at least a dozen wanting this ASAP, that should justify getting some engineering activity up & running over at FCA. And yeah, it's a huge longshot, but there's been other ones that have seen production, so we can dream :)

Maybe if we each buy a dozen? ?

Imo, they shouldn't even build 2-door truck concepts to show off, if they have no honest intentions of ever mass-producing them.

Not sure I would buy one but would make a nice little truck and looks much better in my opinion. Maybe a little longer cab for a little storage behind or putting seat back just a little. Like the old Toyota Pickups.

On second thought scratch that idea. LOL

I've seen one and even sat in one.... but undoubtedly it will never make it into production... 8-(

Was in 2019 that I saw and sat in that J6. I said then and still say now, I would blow off my 2 dr. JL Rubi in a heartbeat for that J6. It was something else...

No, but if the do, then I would be interested… The current Gladiators are just to long to park, or even fit in the garage. I have 3 car garages at both of our homes. But to fit the current one, I would have to pull it in on a angle.

I'd buy one in a heartbeat. When I first read they were coming out with a Jeep pickup, that is what I envisioned.

It would be easy for Jeep to build. It's frame has the same 118" wheelbase as the 4 door. The tooling for a longer bed panel would be easy, the profile already exists for the JT, as does the tailgate, bumper, lights etc. The rear cab stampings already exist. I already have a model name for it, Honcho.

No reason why they couldn't proceed other than JT sales are slower than expected and bringing a 2 door regular cab into the mix isn't good business. There would likely be a surge of sales, then a sharp drop off after those who wanted one got one.

I really like the dimensions of it, similar to old short bed 1/2 ton trucks from the 40s/50s.

I love the idea of this! I am with others, though, in that it will likely never happen unless it's a custom job or one-off concept.

Maybe if Ford revives the Bronco truck project they canned, Jeep will add something like this to compete?
Well- Bronco must be a factor in Q2 Wrangler sales down ~14K from last year. Your scenario is a possibility. Competition is good.

I saw the J6 also at EJS in 2019. Folks there just laughed when I asked about production. I'd buy one and keep both my current Jeeps, so no cannibalized sale! The Gladiator is just too long for as short a bed as it comes with and I don't need to seat four or five people in my truck.

Well there's the whole 8% per year inflation rate, $5 gas, and interest rate hikes thing going on too.

I miss the j10/20. The vehicle company’s force vehicles on us, granted some are justified. There are plenty of customers that would love a 2dr pu with a small place for storage behind the front seats. I had a Toyota years ago SR5. It was perfect. I shopped for a pu a while back. Nothing available but the big ass monstrosity they are making now. How many times have you observed vehicles with only one person in them. Most of the time. Even construction vehicles. I don’t believe most of the car company’s bs. Life goes on.

What- the highest inflation in 40 years a factor, gas prices doubling in ~1 1/2 years, rising interest rates have an effect? But Bronco competition likely also a factor, at least according to pro Bronco articles about Bronco taking Wrangler sales, there is an element of truth even in the biased articles. Case in point- Had Bronco offered a V8 and Jeep didn’t I would be driving my 3rd Bronco (69? 89?) instead of my 3rd Jeep (4th if you count the GC) Edit— if I wasn’t still waiting for the Bronco!
