Hello All
I've recently installed a rear tailgate table in my 2022 JLU Rubicon.
Now, I'm ready for a small Grill to cook out on
Any recommendations? I'm not a fan of propane, but it seems like best option
I would prefer to use the 12v outlet in Cargo area, then ad a power converter for electric. However, I'm concerned about battery drain
Any suggestions? There appears to be millions of choices.
I'm looking at a George Foreman, seems reasonably priced
Prefer to keep it under $100

an electric grill is going to be a power hog...if you're not talking about adding supplemental power I dont think electric is a wise move (honestly I dont think electric is a wise move even if you do add supplemental power). Propane is simple, versatile and not overly expensive....and offers you several grill/cooker options.

Thanks so much. After much consideration, I think I'm definitely leaning towards a propane grill at this time.

yes... propane offers portability/flexibility. Hotter faster/better temp control and no drain on your batteries. No brainer IMHO.

I have one of these for carrying around in vehicles for portable grilling.

Weber

You can get knock-off brands even cheaper but they don’t cook as evenly.

Check out the overlanding forum. There is a thread there in regards to peoples set for use on the tailgate.
