  1. Silver Lake Jeep Invasion 2024

The Dunes are a blast. I think if you show them respect (as has been mentioned above) you'll find that it's a fun, manageable, and largely drama-free and fun experience.
  2. What is an unpopular opinion you have in the Jeep community?

I think the 2.0 is a fantastic little engine.
  3. Synthetic rope conversion

ordered my winch yesterday. thanks to all that contributed on this thread.
  4. SW Wisconsin?

all - went for an OnX subscription for Black Friday so I can peruse some trails....surprised to find this area in SW Wisconsin (near Platteville, Yellowstone Lake). Looks mostly like gravel roads, but something I didnt know existed. anyone with experience here to shed some light on this region?
  5. Synthetic rope conversion

Settles it for me....looks like I'll be buying one of these. Thanks @Tech Tim
  6. Warn Evo Deal (?)

As many of you probably also have I've noticed the current deal on the Warn Evo winches. I know if I want to get out there more into some more serious stuff that I need to get a winch and this seems like a good deal. I know the Evo is the Chinese version, but to my understanding still made to...
  7. Lange "hoist-a-tent"

well....is it easy to use for hard top removal? heck yes it is. Is it easy to use for what I did? It was nose heavy, as you can guess from the picture. I had to keep hold of the handle on the cart or it would have tipped over. I applied balancing weight by holding on to the grab handle on...
  8. Lange "hoist-a-tent"

Not what it's for....but it works.
  9. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

They could with the rack, not sure if they can with the tent on.
  10. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Mated my RTT to the Rhino Rack for the 1st time.
  11. RTT Floor

As I'm getting my outfit dialed in more I had an issue I wanted to solve. My RTT (Roofnest Falcon) has exposed bolt heads lining the floor. These bolt heads hold the factory mounting rails. I also have added some bolts to better line up with my rack and to use an alternative mounting solution...
  12. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Installed my new SideStasher bags. Great use of space that I need to use.
  13. 2.0 vs...

Here was a good start (the Jeep that jumps is a 392 conversion from before they were offered by Jeep). There's also a bronco here. had a good start but I had to get out of it because I was yawing and drifting towards the Raptor.
  14. 2.0 vs...

Here I am against the Raptor and a Range Rover. That Range Rover would leave us both like we were standing still on pavement and it starts pulling back here. But tires were again a factor for him.
  15. 2.0 vs...

Here I am (I'm the gray one) against a JK and a Raptor (both friends). The Raptor rightfully wins, but didnt smoke me as bad as I would have expected.
  16. 2.0 vs...

Had some fun at the Silver Lake dunes (MI) yesterday. If you haven't been there, and it's within a reasonable distance, I highly recommend it. I know there are 2 camps on the 2.0 and very little middle ground. But I have to say I'm thrilled with that motor. It's not a race car, but it's a...

  19. "Attic" storage solutions?

I did come across this last night after posting. It's not an attic solution but does offer a good use of dead space. https://www.amaysinglife.com/sidestasher#Buy%20Now
  20. "Attic" storage solutions?

Looking for "attic" storage solutions that you may have found/used. Only one I've found is the blue ridge overland net. Which looks sufficient, but if something else is out there I'd like to see it. Thanks in advance.
