Does it show 1-6? I had no idea that was possible with the manual.

I've had my '21 6 speed for about a month now, and have been reading about them for longer than that. I'm not aware of any procedure, either through factory settings or aftermarket programmer, that allows you to remove the gear indicator from the instrument display.

Following 'cause it's annoying to me as well with my '18 JLUR. I've driven manuals for 30 years now and don't need a reminder for what gear I'm in unless the manual challenged wife is driving and she's not allowed to drive it so....I I guess it's coded into the latest recall software. Tried updating dash settings and no luck.

I looked in the settings and could not find any way to delete it. I wonder if it is something JScan or Tazer could address?

Yeah I picked that up here. Get around to it sooner or later. Seems superfluous but whatever.

Well, since the latest 'update' is just de-tuning the engine, hard pass. I'll leave my 2020 the way it is. Doing everything in my power to AVOID THE DEALER.

Yes. It started following the latest clutch recall software update. I’ve seen where automatics have a “current” gear indicator setting but cannot find it on my manual transmission.

They should update the setting menu and give you the option.

I find it useful....not sure why you find it annoying.....But I am surprised you can't turn it off. Can a tazer turn if off? (I don't have one).

Pros:
Saves me from doing unnecessary in-and-out of 1st (at long stop lights) to make sure I'm in 1st gear & sometimes catches when I could be in 5th at highway speeds after dropping down to 4th for an incline.
Cons: ? Did it displace some other useful information?
