I'm looking for honest opinions or reviews in regards to the tazer mini. I'm an old school GEARHEAD man just simply looking for advice. just getting this far is good for me. I have a 20 JLUR. I installed a Terraflex St/2 lift and added 35" tires. I do all of my repairs mods etc! I would like to recalibrate my speedo and take advantage of the many features advertised. however there are a lot people stating things that make me feel as if they don't know which end of the wrench to use! is this product worthy? I have noticed a difference in my shift points. she still runs great! I am quite good at driveabilty and do notice the difference! I'm not expecting massive fuel economy changes but real world real non bias opinions are needed before I pull the trigger on this. thanks and get some mud on it!!!

I love mine. I got it for new tire size recalibration but like other features like remembering the ESS setting and turning on the backup camera when the turn signal is on. The best thing is that you can disable those damn weather alerts!

Get the extension cable. Trust me.

Good video on the Tazer:

I have a 2019 JLUR with a Flashcal and my wife has a 4XE with a Tazer. If the Flashcal worked on the 4XE, I would have bought another one. I prefer the Flashcal as it is very easy to use, even if it does have a more limited feature set. The Tazer programming process and error clearing/reset sequence is a total pain in the ass, not to mention it takes considerably longer to execute. Perhaps the experience is different on a gas only vehicle, but I suspect it is the same? Me personally, I say Flashcal if it is an option due to its simplicity.

Here is an excerpt from the Tazer user manual (v.11.2.8-06321) to illustrate my point.
”After making changes, scroll to “full reboot?” and “select” it.
• After the countdown, perform two sleep cycles.
• The quickest way to do this is to turn the ignition off, close the driver’s door and
wait about 60 seconds AFTER the dash goes dark, turn the ignition on (but not
the engine). Do this twice.
• This step is critical after changing settings or settings might not save or you
may find that the dash doesn’t shut down, which can result in a dead battery.”

Been using tazer for around 3 years, I consider it one of the best things I’ve done to my rig. With the Rubi you can use it to access lockers in 4H and rear locker in 2WD.

Also you can remap the sway bar disco switch to the resume button on the steering wheel. This allows you to disconnect sway bar in 2WD and you can run any speed you want without it re-connecting. These two things along with ess kill and tire size calibration makes it a must have for me.

Oh, by the way , I’m an old caveman monkey wrench with no clue about computer tech……if I can figure it out, trust me when I say anybody can... ;)

this is what i like to call USEFULL information! late model vehicles have way too many nannies to protect people from themselves i guess. Not why i bought my jeep.
