Yes, 8.4” Screen & Alpine Sound are standard on 2022 Sahara and Rubicon; No, the price hasn’t gone up. Yet.

When you build your Sahara or Rubicon online, click on and then deduct the $2,000 price of the 8.4” & Alpine Sound option from the total price, and you will be within $100 of the MSRP of your 2022 factory order.

I didn't want the factory Alpine setup when I bought my 2 door 21; didn't like the space it used up in the rear storage and ultimately glad I went after market. I would be okay paying for the 8.4" screen... Forced into all these options would have priced me out. I don't recall my exact price I paid, but it was a little less then $40k OTD. Sure if I tried to buy a new one, less then a year later, a stripper model would be a lot more.

But I still overall feel the Rubicon needs less comfort options or at least the option. I specifically went out to buy a stripper or a blank canvas. I think the standard option in the 21' MY Rubicon comes nicely optioned. But they could offer something with less option to show a cheaper starting price, even if very few get made that way. I would really like to have half doors without power windows as standard or either or option and not forced to buy both.

I just ordered my JLJS74 (Unlimited Rubicon with Xtreme package) today. The dealer couldn't select the premium sunrider soft top as an option. Does anyone know if the premium sunrider soft top for 2022 is standard now?

Turns out it is not standard...it is option STB. They said they would fix it...the system just won't let them select it at this time for some reason. They said allocations have not been released yet, but when it goes into production they can make the fix. Still weird that it couldnt be selected from the get go.

Agree. Strange they couldn't select at time of order. Not sure I would trust can be added later.

Strange, I ordered a JLUR-XR w/ Premium black top yesterday without issue to my knowledge? It’s on the build sheet then dealer emailed me, got a VIN today.

When you all ordered your 2022 jeep, did you receive a Vehicle Order Number (VON) the day you ordered it? My dealer mentioned they couldnt submit the order yet until they get allocations. Just want to see if that is what others were told who ordered the 2022 model. Thanks.
