I drove both soft top and hard top several times before deciding on the soft top. I had a 2007 and the soft tops were terrible with incredible wind noise and I was apprehensive. However, these tops are vast improvements and yes, I believe they are quiter than the hard top, odd as may seem. They finally got it right with the soft top.

This has been tested and measured. The hard top is quieter, but the soft top is not that different at highway speed (aka they are both noisy).

I ordered my JLUR on 4/12 and I don't have a VIN. But, I really didn't expect one until late April or early May.

When I ordered my JKU in 2015 and it took 5 weeks to be built and delivered. Since this is the first production run for the JL's I figured the time from order to delivery would be 8-12 weeks.

I look at it as Xmas in June/July :like:
I ordered the same exact day and I just got my window sticker.

Hmmm ... :crying:

@Afaccini I ordered just about every option - including the body color fender flares and body color 3-piece hard top. Additionally I ordered the 6-speed manual transmission - cuz I don't think I know how to operate an automatic transmission :cwl:. So maybe it is something in my build? Oh well, i guess I'll continue to wait - patiently.

Btw ... grats on getting your window sticker!!

Got my window sticker today!!!! Those of you who have gotten yours, how long was the process before you had your jeep in your hands after receiving that.
I ordered a loaded 2.0 Rubicon 4-11-18, Got a vin#. on 4-20-18. It was listed as D status. The dealer was surprised it came this far so fast.

I actually did not order the Trail Rail Management System (CMD). So, yeah, not sure why the delay.

All good though, this wait gets me more drive time in my JK before I give her up. If I only owned a second parking spot at my condo complex I would keep her :(

Lol then what in the world were you going on about before when you said you needed it delivered in perfect configuration?? We were specifically talking about having to wait for that feature. Silly goose

I initially drove a soft top Sahara because that was the first wrangler my local dealer got. After that I was sold except I wanted a hard top. The next weekend the dealer got in a hard top Sahara so I drove items significantly louder than the soft top was. I then drove them back to back just to verify.

I had no intentions of getting a soft top originally, however the sound difference between the two sold me on the soft top. The hard top was much much louder.

I have now had the Jeep for three days and had it up to 75-80 MPH all three days on the interstate and the soft top is awesome and extremely quiet comparably. Hope this helps

I'm really not a fan of the Rubicon wheels. Thinking about the Quadratec Hardrocks. Bonus they are 17"x8.5". My SG JLUR will have black fenders/top. Leaning towards the Grey, also considering all black. Opinions?

Preferably photos from the driver seat looking at the hood and the inside of the pillars and doors where you can still see the Sting-Gray color.
I'm having a hard time photographing the interior accurately because it's so dark. The red dash photographs bright red, but in reality it is more subdued, like red anodized aluminum. I think I will have to take the tops off to maximize lighting and see if that helps.
