I work at a CDJR dealer in Va so of course even being a premium top I check my status every day a couple times, well not so lucky for me but I did see a lucky hard top customer of ours that ordered 3 weeks after me go in D1 yesterday so congrats to them, maybe I will at least get to see one soon hahahaha

Not sure whats happening. Was told I was D1 with a "ship date" of 4/20 by my dealer. Jeep chat confirmed it at the time. Just chatted again to check progress and I was told D status wording, and when questioned the rep confirmed D status. I asked why the backwards progress and was told: "These vehicles from my knowledge have been pushed to 04/30/2018 and we will see these vehicles being produced by May14th. Parts are very limited. We appreciate your patience with us as we launch this exciting product. It has taken extra time to start the second phase of production. Quality is extremely important to us and the plant is taking extra time to insure the product delivered to our customers meets our quality standards."

2-Door loaded Red Rubi w/Hard top, except proximity and safety. Ordered 12/15/17

In my mind two doors don't exist, and haven't been built in any way, until someone posts a photo of theirs

There will be congratulations once that day comes

And if the first several two door people check their frames and track bars, and they aren't rusty dangerous shit welds, I'll place my order!

Dealer just confirmed I'm back to D purgatory

In my mind 2 doors don't exist either! At least not very damn many of them. I was told by Chat this morning that start up was pushed back to 5/15/18. Don't know if I really believe that but my dealer heard from a "reliable source" that since 4/9 less than twenty 2 doors have been built and the first 5 were on 4/13 and were non salable pilots.
I have been sitting in D1 for 31 days now and I know there others in D1 for longer. My 2door is a simple Sport S with a hard top.
This start up is the most FUBARed I have ever seen! In my past life as an auto parts supplier, a lot of heads would have rolled for a performance like this. Almost like some people have theorized, that FCA wants out of 2 door and are showing it!

D1 status doesn't mean squat; it's just another phase to extend and string your order along for another 60 days.

Loser: We appreciate your patience with us as we launch this exciting new product. It has taken extra time to start the second phase of production – the Wrangler two-door model. Quality is extremely important to us and the plant is taking extra time to insure the product delivered to our customers meets our quality standards.

Me: That doesnt sound good

Loser: We are taking some extra time, so we ask for your patience but its being done to insure that what we deliver meets the standards that we all expect

Me: What does that mean in days/weeks/months. There has already been lots of "extra time". Is this another delay or an apology for the initial delay?

Loser: I wish I had an ETA for you. We are working to make sure the vehicles get ready to for the road

Me: I dont even know what to say

I got much the same message, but Jeep Chat told me my wrangler was built, but awaiting inspection and shipping. They said there's no shipment date because of quality control issues. Now they also said that didn't mean there was a problem, but inspections are being done. I really have no idea what this means, and not sure I believe Jeep Chat fully, but according to the free tracking sheet I'm on, I have a build sheet, which is progress.

Just got off the phone with Jeep, they confirmed all 2 doors were being delayed again but had no other details to share... Not sure who to believe anymore.
I really wish the Ford Bronco was out now, its the only thing that might of convinced me to cancel my order at this point after waiting since December.

This is just fkn nonsense now. Looking to take delivery of a 2018 JL in the 7month(at earliest it’s looking) of the year. 2019s should be out by then.
Wish someone knew someone that could do a national WTF piece on this botched FCA rollout.
