I was confused also. After they finish build, they need to put all the finishing touches on, decals, trim pieces etc. That is what I was told. It makes sense because I was there about a week, then KZ and soon after shipped out on railroad.

I’m thinking of a reverse road trip one day for all my stops.
I asked JeepChat if they could tell me my JL's last check-in location on it's westward journey. apparently, they don't have that ability. It shows the great information we get from @JLWF Dealer Guy. It will allow me to talk about the JL trip for years to come, My adventure has begun before my JL even arrives. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, JLWF Dealer.:clap::clap:

The same names that have popped up further in this thread, Chad/Adam told me similar BS. It coincided with me realizing they were full of it and not worth my time. However I am on the tracking sheet so I don’t really NEED Jeep chat anymore. I also took screenshots.
The way you deal with these guys is to send those screenshots in via email....they have been short , rude made up stuff even told one person they could save on their insurance by switching to geico

I am in D1 with no ETA yet on the tracking sheet. My dealer tells me they have an estimated ship date of 4/17 and a likely pick-up date of somewhere around 4/24. The dealership in Denver (which is definitely Jeep country) has indicated that I should be the first Sting Gray that they see. Still, with no Sting Grays out on the street I find it hard to believe that all of a sudden they are just going to all show up in a week or two. I also find it hard to believe that with all of these people on the board waiting so long that mine is just going to take 4 weeks to build and get to me. Something is fishy here. I am expecting that they are going off the typical time frame for when a car hits D1 (which is what I am in) and not taking in to consideration that there are few if any Sting Grays actually in existence at this time. They simply don't exist and until they do I will remain skeptical.

Finally, after almost three months of waiting, some progress. I am reposting this from the punk’n thread, for the benefit of those who don’t follow that thread, but are interest in status updates:

Talked to Jeep Chat last week and was advised that my build was being delayed due to the LED light option, and that I should call back in May. Was discouraged and told my dealer that I wanted to cancel if this was true. I just found out (from another tracking site) that my status went to D1, yesterday, then immediately went to E (framing)! I hope this is true. It’s been a long wait since 1/26/2018 when I ordered.

The ship date your dealer quoted you is most likely your build start date.

Oh no! FCA must have gotten a hold on @JLWF Dealer Guy and silenced him because he was providing too much information! :surprised:
