AEV rarely goes on sale and they control the prices across all vendors, so no discounts on those wheels.

if you are willing to pick up some JK edition Borah’s they have the machines ones on sale on the AEV website.

I really wanted machined wheels but wanted the JL spec wheels. Wish they would have made machined JLs.

i really like the machined as well but wanted something different than my stockers. I ordered onyx because I didnt want to spend all that money and end up with wheels that look really similar to the ones I have. Also- check out Northridge- I think they show that they have machined JL versions available, although not on sale like the JKs.

Too late for me if they have them now. Ive had my Onyx since Late May or Early June and very happy with them.

I did see Quadratech has 8.5 wide +10 offset JL Rubicon Wheels now. I may have gone for thise, but really wanted rash rings

Got the borahs installed on the 35 RG’s- absolutely love the look, size and offset. Could not be happier. Next is st1 leveling kit and other suspension goodies. Here is what it will look like with the 2” lift up front (jacked up frame at discount tire!). The picture makes the gap look bigger than it does in reality, but it should only be about 1” more than stock, looks absolutely sweet got lots of comments and guys standing around looking at the shop- usually a decent sign!

oK- running into a bit of an issue- tires definitely are not balanced great. I can feel the bounce and unbalance. Upon inspection I have one wheel with 36 weights, another with 18. If I am dioing my math right that is 2.5 ounces on one, 5 ounces on the other- that seems like a ton. What should I expect? Do I have two tires that should be completely replaced??? Any help is much appreciated.

I would suggest finding a tire shop that does road force balancing. I doubt Discount Tire does that, I've never known any around me to offer it. And to be perfectly candid, I've never been impressed with Discount's balancing on any of my truck tires.

Mounted these yesterday. I’m loving the look. Went with Dick Cepek Extreme Terrains. 35x12.5

Nice! I like the replacement yellow aev center caps. Did those tires balance out well and riding smooth? DT ordered 2 new RG’s and will start with replacing the two that needed so much weight. They road force balanced and it is mostly the same. We shall see. I am about to sell my stockers so there is no turning back... : )

Well, the wife drove it home and she didn't complain so I guess it's all good! I didn't notice what I would consider too much weight when I was installing them. A couple spots had some larger weights and then some smaller weights right behind it to dial it in without spreading the weight out around the wheel. I ordered these mounted and balanced from Quadratec. I'll report back if I notice anything strange after this weekend.
I really dig the yellow caps. It draws your attention to the wheels and at the same time breaks up the seemingly black hole. Wife wasn't too sure about them at first but I think she likes them! And the yellow will match the soon to be installed KCHilites with yellow covers.

I think the wife has settled on the Borah + 35/12.50 Ridge Grappler combo for her '21 Rubi.

Planning on running these with stock suspension for a little bit and then 95% decided on installing a 2.5 RK lift.

Anyone running this combo with any regrets? The only concern I've seen is around the weight and possibly not being able to use 8th any longer. Her Jeep has the 4.10's, I would think it would be ok, yes?

i have this exact setup and use 8th at lower cruising speeds but once i hit 65+ unless going down steeper hill i never see it. Also saw big loss in acceleration but mpg is not bad, maybe 1-2 mpg loss.

Yeah, it’s a JT, but Gunmetal Borah ftw. #TeamNoPoke. 37x12.5 Falkens. Stock Mojave suspension.
