My local dealer has not been helpful. Does anyone know what the part number is for this nut that allows the carpet to be connected?

No clue, personally.

Go into the allmoparparts subforum. There's a parts question thread that is watched by a member and sponsor named Benny. Post your inquiry on that thread. I hear he's quite active and helpful there.

Strange that a Jeep dealer wasn’t able to help.

Is part number 5PL11TX7AA what you're looking for?

I don’t think there is a part number for that clip or even a replacement part number. I remember seeing a thread for the same piece but for the Jeep cargo mat. People were trying to get replacement parts for the same thing cause the clips broke only to learn that they don’t sell it individually. Buuuut I could be wrong...... good luck though.

Strange indeed! It only took an hour to get steering box bolts ordered when I went in with the part numbers.
Yeah, same here.

Yesterday I walked into the Parts Dept. with this part —see below. There was no one else waiting. It still took them 50 minutes to look it up on the computer, walk out to my Jeep, see where where the piece had fallen from, write down my VIN, come back in and search some more.

But they did find it. So the get an A for effort.

Can't help but notice you didn't order it yourself, those little trim pieces are a bastard to find.

Correct. I went to the dealer and had them order it. It’s a $5 piece.
