I think they follow the same motto as my beloved Buffalo Bills, where every year is the year, and they sell the hype like no other, and then (like every year) nothing changes and we all payed for our season tix, and are let down year after year

Just got the call today that my Punk'n JLUR finally went to D1 with a ship date of 4/13! Order date was 2/20.

Of course, it's probably going to show up the day before I leave for 2 weeks of vacation which is a bit of a scorch but I'll be happy to know it's home waiting for me.

To pre-answer any order questions: Got everything but automatic and painted fenders/top

If you ordered in February then it was before the $750 price hike. To keep that older lower sticker price, one of the requirements is that the dealer has to transfer the car to you within 10 days of delivery to the dealer. Make sure your vacation doesn't end up costing you an additional $750!

Edit: I just noticed you're in Canada so this may not apply to you.

Bad news from FCA...Ordered on 2/1/18

Customer Assistance Center

Dear Customer:

Case #: 33736332
VIN:
Vehicle Description:

Hello I am emailing you today as I have received an answer as to why your vehicles production is taking so long...... Consumers vehicle was ordered in the Punk'n Metallic Clear Coat which does not begin production until April. We would encourage consumer to contact us back in late-April/early-May for an update.
I put my order in on 3/16 and I just got done chatting on Jeep.com and they confirmed that the Punk'n Metallic Clear Coat will not begin production until April/May. She didn't know the reason for the delay. All of the other colors available to order are all in production I'm told. Pretty disappointed right now.

Wow! I ordered my Punk'n JLUR on the exact same day.

I'll check my status later this week.

All I just received a call from my dealer. I have now moved from "C" Status to "D" Status and have a VIN #. Seeing as I ordered on 13 Feb this is at least a step in the right direction.

Ordered: JLUR All options except smokers group & trail kit, colour match top & fenders.

Hopefully this means that others with colour match will start being pushed through.

Probably the color top is going to set you behind others with that being on hold a bit. I ordered 2/16 and moved from D to D1 on 3/19 but I have just premium soft top. Other options too but none that should matter like your painted HT.

Forget the chat system at jeep.com. I've done you all a service and created this :

It's just as accurate as any answer you'll get from those clowns.

This is a "only time will tell". Between the dealers, Jeep Chat and other information it's all over the map. Just need to stay positive and be happy when it gets here. Who knows I may be the first with this build to take delivery.

Shooting for May 1st :please:

Yes hopefully. I understand it is frustrating for so many of us and more so for those that planned a certain time frame to work with other logistics. I think FCA staggered certain options knowing it would be popular but they did not know Bestop would fall behind on soft top delivery. I know some have said they should have more than one manufacturer for these, but honestly how many others out there can build a quality top?

This soft top debacle ended up setting back so many builds that the storage areas were a mess. Now I think what makes some deliveries happen before others is simply where they are stored in the various places. They now have to deal with the fact that the shipping companies can only take so many Jeeps per week and they are still cranking out new ones. The soft top issue just snow balled over down through the rest of the process and will take a while to get completely back on track.

This is what I keep telling myself and it makes sense to me. Thankfully I am not in a position where I sold my current Jeep or where I am at the end of a lease. I also tell myself that a few issues that people have been reporting around quality control may be looked into before they build ours saving us from having a problem.

Wow kind of ironic. I ordered on 2/9 and got the call a couple days ago, D1 with ETA of 3/12. Hoping like crazy.

Has anyone who's getting a Sport or Sport S removed or will remove the splash guards Jeep integrated into the left and right side of the front bumper? The sales manager I spoke with today agrees with me and thinks they take away from the look of the Wrangler and can be easily removed. The bumper is the same as a Sahara(which doesn't have those ugly splash guards).
