So I have about 5 K miles on my JL and still when I accelerate in faster pace than would be let's say the normal soccer mum highway merging speed I get the clutch odour . Yes I took it to the dealer but they will always tell you all is fine even if you arrive on three wheels. I wonder how long this garbage clutch will last before I will have to spend at least couple thousand dollars for a replacement clutch. I have looked quickly around the net and it seems that Centreforce is probably the best choice. I don't really do any extreme driving where I would really push the limit of the clutch system but that Mopar clutch is probably made of cardboard paper.Thank you.

Isn't there another thread about Centerforce clutches not being that good? Just far too many clutch threads to keep everything straight.
And the planned life of your stock clutch is 5 years and 1 day.

There’s a mega thread about the W12 recall. Your Jeep is obviously affected. If your dealer performed that recall and didn’t replace your clutch, they obviously didn’t follow the procedure. (They are supposed to do a dump test, and if it slips you get a new clutch. If not, they put a protective sleeve over the line to prevent it wearing through and allowing air into the system.)

Anyway, send a PM to @JeepCares with your VIN and they can help get you a new appt. Also, go look at the mega thread - be prepared to be in a loaner for a long time because parts are not available.

Thanks but I belive JeepCares isn't for some reason active here in Canada . Anyways that's what they have told me . You know I kind of resigned to the idea that I may have to get some aftermarket clutch because obviously FCA isn't interested in fixing mine.

5 years sounds really sweet . By that time I will sell it and get something else. I may even get another Wrangler but that all depends how well the one I drive will perform .

Yes. I don’t remember which thread, but I did read one member’s honest review that it was not great for daily driving - made rev hang much worse, IIRC.

South Bend Clutch might be a better option:

If I were OP I’d be at the dealer getting W12 recall done properly.

Here are the Centerforce threads:

@OldGuyNewJeep, is this how I'd bring up conversation with my dealer who already "performed" my W12 recall that didn't replace the clutch? Just ask them if they did a dump test and if they would replace it? I know they just did the basic thing.
Also waiting of that software fix for the Y01 recall, but I also don't it just to be a limp mode patch.
