Burning smell in ventilation

...Basically on the highway it will do it or accelerate hard. ..

When I accelerate hard I have a faint smell as well...but mine doesn't cause me any concerns, yet. It is very faint...I have about 2300 miles on mine. When I take it in for an oil change or a general inspection by my mechanic, I'll mention it. Thanks for this post!

They will just tell u it's normal to inhale toxic fumes lol

Naw..not my mechanic...if he knows something is wrong, he'll tell me. I don't deal with lazy folks.

No difference....same smell even with AC completely off I’ve now realized.

Anybody figure out what was causing it yet? I haven't got time to bring mine back to get serviced yet, been living with it breathing in toxic fumes since too busy too take off any work

Faulty heater core in mine.

Had my new jl for 2 weeks now. It has 1,000 miles on it and yesterday after about a 20 min drive on the freeway we stopped to get gas. I started it up right after I got gas and I got a puff of thick white smoke come out the ac vent , it smells a lot like coolant . Made a service appointment for this Wednesday .

Yea , it’s unfortunate . I hope they fix it . I’m having it checked out for a few reasons . 1st was the radio , we got the alpine audio package and I’ve been having problems with the spearkers sounding muffled at times and the subwoofer turns on sometimes and sometimes doesn’t . I also need to have the steering check out it’s really sloppy , I read that there was a software update that can fix that problem . Kinda sad that we’re having this many problems with a new Jeep .
