Are you guys finding the crankcase dipstick hard to read? Mine really does not give a definitive line for the oil level...Seems a bit vague...Oil on the fat dipper end but no real line...

Yes it is hard to read, but I can make it out. I just check it a few times in a row to make sure.

Now that the oil has a few miles on it, it is easier to read.

If you can't read a dipstick, you shouldn't be doing anything else with a jeep.
Do you own a diesel Jeep? If not, then you won’t understand the frustration. I have the EcoDiesel in my 2020 Ram and it’s not the easiest to read actual oil levels. The dipstick tube is curved kinda funny and when you pull it out, it smears the tip. That makes it look like you are overfilled. So, you have to pull the dipstick out, wipe it off, wait a few minutes for the oil in the tube to drain out, put it back in and pull it out quickly. That’s when you get the best reading.

That is the proper method for reading a dipstick. I don't own one but my neighbor does. He does as you suggested.

No other engine I’ve owned takes this long to check the oil. But, at least they still provide a dipstick. Hate the electronic oil level gauges. Now that’s a stupid design.

Almost 9000 miles on mine and it’s no easier to read now than it was at the beginning. Even the Jeep mechanic who looked at it when it first got off the truck on delivery day was baffled by how poorly designed the thing is. You really have to appreciate how the tip shown in the 3.0 supplement manual is a completely different design than the one they shipped with too.
