Installed the full kit on my Wrangler. I had this installed by a shop on my previous Jeep a few years back and they had gouged my door, then dented and chipped the door sill...I thought I'd be saving time having a shop do a professional install..how wrong I was. Anyways, on my new Jeep decided I would do this myself! I went to my local Harbor Freight and picked up:
I set out to disconnect both batteries, unbolted the seat from the Jeep and lifted the front to access the wires underneath to disconnect them, then removed the headrest, brought the seat back all the way up and easily removed the seat. With the seat placed upside and protected with the moving blankets, I installed the cutting fixture from DDI, set out to hack up my brand new seat rails with the reciprocating saw. Then I drilled the two necessary holes to attach the new DDI lower brackets. I filed away any sharp edges, painted the metal and the seat was done. I installed the front Seat Jackers that raise the front of the seat. Then I carefully reinstalled the seat, plugged it back in, bolted it down and voila! A 100% improvement in seating position and head room.
