Probably that they look the same ‘cept for the bolt underneath because they now use a pin for easier removal? But it’s pretty hard to tell in that picture. What am I missing here?

YET....No corrosion
So wait, without the bolt on the bottom does that mean it’s even easier from someone to walk off with my doors if I forget to lock the vehicle?
I didn't even recognize them without the corrosion. Thought it was a different vehicle. No corrosion
Looks sort of like a pin that went in my tire carrier on my old TJ's. Drill out the bolt on your current JL and it should work fine.Ngl this seems really nice. Wonder if the previous model years could be easily converted.
Most theft is a crime of convenience. Carrying away big heavy doors is not exactly convenient. I highly doubt this is a big issue. It'd be much more likely a thief opens the door checks for small things of value and then dips.So wait, without the bolt on the bottom does that mean it’s even easier from someone to walk off with my doors if I forget to lock the vehicle?
No corrosion YET
Huh, so they did. (I replied before that edit)Ahh the OP ninja edited and added that additional photo/ diagram.
