Stellantis Names New Chief for Its Struggling Jeep Brand (msn.com)

"(Bloomberg) -- Stellantis NV appointed a new chief for its key Jeep brand, which has been suffering from a slump in US sales and growing inventory levels.

Antonio Filosa, chief operating officer of Stellantis South America, will replace Christian Meunier as global head of Jeep as of Nov. 1, Stellantis said in a statement Thursday. Meunier, a Nissan veteran who joined the company in 2019, is leaving to take a “long break to focus on personal interests,” the company said."

Higher interests is non-differential. They impact all automakers equally; yet other brands are not declining by 12% annually.

Besides, Jeep's sales decline started in 2018; well before COVID, supplier constraints and higher interest rates.

Jeep, less and less an American brand. But I digress.

Can’t hurt putting this new guy in. The ‘24 mid cycle refresh was a bust, did nothing to improve sales. The brand is suffering overall.

I’m thinking that right now Stellantis wished it didn’t have a stake in the North American auto manufacturing market.
