My Goose Gear cargo plate arrived today. The projected lead time from them was 8 weeks and it was delivered today, which was 17 days from the time I ordered it.

Fit and finish is perfect and it was a very quick install....or it would have been...had I not decided to forgo their slide as I wanted two slides mounted and their slides were almost twice as much as the Iceco slides. I have no doubt that the GG is a lot nicer but I don't think a slide should be that expensive. My hope going in was that some of the predrilled holes with nut inserts would line up. Out of the 38 holes, only 1 lined up to the location I was wanting to install the slides. I am horrible at any type of woodworking but it turns out that using a drill guide and nut inserts, it was quick and easy work. It was time consuming since I had to test fit so many different times but I actually had a good and relaxing day completing the project.

One negative has been getting in touch with Goose Gear. Post sell, I have tried emailing them twice and calling them twice with no contact back to me. This was just for some basic questions that I had. Also my cargo plate didn't come with the key. It is not that important at this point because the cubby hole is blocked by the slide but I feel like there should have been a key since there is a lock.

All in all, I really wanted to go with the system from American Adventure Labs because their customer service is some of the best that I have ever seen. I was torn on getting their Mass Cargo Plate but I really wanted the option to go with the seat delete in the future. I called them 3 times and they either answered immediately or called back within minutes. Goose Gear should take a play out of their handbook. The only thing that I need a solution for is my EcoFlow power station. Since I was so impressed with AAL, I ordered their cargo shelf and when it comes in, I will mount my power station to it. Heck, they will probably send me the key to my cubby hole...lol...

Your setup is almost the same as mine. We went with the AAL MASS+ floor system, and I run a Dometic fridge on the driver's side and a flat slide on the passenger's side with that same big, red box on it. It was nice not having to drill a bunch of holes, but I did have some starts and stops as I tried to figure out what fridge slide would work best. Nice setup, man. :)

Did you remove the metal strip that is across the rear seat bolts? I can't decide if I should have or not but I did.

The IceCo slides don't have a full platform on them and the toolbox is slick. I accidently let it fall on the slide rod when I was loading it and it bent my rod. I guess I will put some anti-slip pads on there and try to bent the rod back. I am not 100% sure that I am impressed with the IceCo slides.

How did you run the power cord so it doesn't get caught up in the slide? I feel certain something simple like a bungee cord or retractable key chain would work but I can't wrap my head around it yet.

There’s a number stamped on top of the lock cylinder. Go to a locksmith shop and give them that number and you can get a key.

I did remove the metal strip. I was going to try to keep it, but getting it outta there was a PITA, and I bent it, so it went into the recycle bin. I'm not planning on going back to stock, so I really didn't care that much. As for the slides, I have the AAL "Slightly Wider Slider" for the fridge. It gives me some room to move the fridge around a bit, and it also means I don't need to use spaces to make it fit AALs regular slide, which is just a tad too narrow. I have my fridge on the driver's side so I don't have to fish a cord across the back of the Jeep. I also added ARBs fridge/freezer wiring kit. It's nothing more than 8 gauge wire, a fused lead, and a nice locking receptacle. I put it on the side of the compartment just forward of the roll bar. The 12V cigarette lighter plug is in a bad place and does not provide enough power for the fridge. The ARB kit solves that, and it puts the power cord in a great place. I don't have any issues with the power cord getting tangled. To figure out how much I needed, I pulled the slide all the way out with the fridge plugged in, wrapped up the excess wire, and strapped it to the straps that hold down the fridge. This way, I have just what I need, and the rest is tucked away and secured.

Here's a link to the ARB kit. https://tinyurl.com/8eepmcns

Yes sir, I also have the ARB plug in a better spit. Until my AAL cargo shelf arrives, I have my EcoFlow in the rear floor board so it leaves me with a long cord and just looking for a temporary fix.

Try using a Velcro strap to attach the cord to one of the straps holding your fridge down. That should keep it from getting caught in the slider. Could you tuck the rest of the cord between the seats?

I used a retractable key chain tied to the bottom of the roll bar. Works good for a temporary fix.

The rest of the cables run under the rear seat.

Thanks, just the principle since I can't access it anyway and knowing that I wouldn't be able to reach GG if I needed it.

Mine is a 392 so there is only enough storage for a deck of cards in there anyway.

Mm. Reminds me of my experience with CMM Offroad. Or, should I say, a lack of it since I hit a solid wall of radio silence from them.

I was prepared to click Buy Now for a very generous (and generously priced) order from that brand. Given the amount of $$ I was prepared to send their way, I had a few pre-purchase due diligence questions that I wanted answered. No Joy. Three separate voicemails and three separate emails seemingly disappeared into the ether. Why that happened is still a mystery. Needless to say, other vendors eventually received my purchase dollars.

FWIW, the one inquiry that I sent to Goose Gear some months back was answered very promptly.

That is so interesting. When I contacted CMM about which holster fit there mount, I heard back within 24 hours.

Nope, the section that has the Goose Gear logo comes off via two little button head bolts
I have the full platform in my 2021 JLUR. The scissor jack access is brilliant.
