You’re new to the Jeep world!! You want to take your bride to a Jeep place. Nothing crazy like mud. Thinking beautiful sites and easy unreal amazing beauty trails. Trails go drive and admire. Where? When? Any local Jeep presence to make a stock rubicon owner (whose not interested in pushing limits or tearing anything up) feel welcome?? Ideas? Adventures?

I always enjoy national parks. Here in the Smokies we have an area called Cataloochee. You get there on miles of dirt roads and it opens up to this paved area in the bottom of a valley. Because it's not easy to get to the crowds are light. On this day, I was literally the only one here (other than the elk and turkeys). Creeks, fields, old historic buildings, and camping areas all surrounded by mountain forests. Then you have the Smokies in general and several great roads (paved and dirt, including forest service roads) on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina.

Ouray, Colorado. Easy trails, breathtaking beauty. July, August, or September to be sure all the good trails are open.

That's gorgeous:like: Please tell me how you get there. My husband and I go to Gatlinburg at least 3 times a year. We love the Smoky's!

There are faster ways to get there from Gatlinburg but I am a big fan of dirt roads and forests. This is my preferred route.

Also, if you go to Gatlinburg a lot and haven't been on this "Missing Link" stretch of the Foothills Parkway be sure to try it next time.
