I’ve gone cross country (DC -> LA and NY -> LA) three times in a Jeep. Once in a TJ and twice in a two door JK. Keeps performed great all theee times. The mud tires on the JK Willys could be tiring at times, but thoroughly enjoyed all three rides.

Did a 3K trip going from Dallas to LV and back via the North of Grand Canyon and Zion national Park in my soft top JLU 21 MT. Was also caught on snow storm on the way back in I-40. Jeep did great in 4Hi during that time.
Here is a pic taken after i came home, my jeep was beaten by weather and rock.

Caldwell, ID to Arroyo Grande, CA. 808 miles, though we went up to SF on the way home, 846 miles.

Got like 24.5 mpg on the trip too. That was in our 2020 JLUR with the 2.0T.

Just did Dallas to Denver with my 21 yr old son, took 16hrs. Of course we got off the interstate once we got in to CO and took a more scenic route via state highway etc. through the mountains up to Denver which added 3.5 hours to our trip.

Sometimes it is about the journey and not the destination!!

Did Stowe VT to Dallas TX to San Diego CA for a military move in a TJ. I had a dual hard and soft top, so I had to repack the soft top the way it was when i took delivery of the vehicle, packed it up with all of my earthly belongings.

I wasn’t trying to get very far very fast, took some interstate highways, mostly US \ local roads. Google says its 3,134 miles, I took a week to do it - back in the days when gas prices were at a all time high of $1.50 in New England and $1.95 in California and $1.20 in Texas.

Cleveland OH to MB SC in the wifes 21 JLU. 2.0 Turbo no E Torque. Appx 800 miles each way. Stopped occasionally for gas and to pee, that's about it, Id consider it mostly 11 hrs straight in each direction. Averaging 75-80mph, AC blasting the whole way, up and down the mountains in W VA and VA, and Carolina heat and humidity. She was flawless.

Did 4525 miles end of May from WI to four corners region and exploring off road.
My wife, 2 boys and me. Was during all the fires in NM, and was windy as hell. 2.5” Gamechanger (that’s closer to 4”) with 35” tires. Roof rack and awning catching wind.
Oldest boys was getting a little cramped in backseat.
I gotta say, the Jeep seats suck. But its not like there is room for 4” of foam for the seats either. I’m not a little dude either though.

In my 2013 JKUR .. two trips from NY to Cali and back...loved every minute of it.
In my 2022 JLURD, DC to Miami and back...JL is even better than the JK.

Last summer in Alaska.. rented a JLUS for a week and put about 1500 miles on it... it was fantastic!

Many more to come ....

About 9000 miles in past month. Two trips: Ohio to Glacier, MT and Ohio to Ouray. Drove a 21 JLUs and a '21JLR. Smaller tank on a 2dr makes it a pain-didn't even test the bladder.
Back seat out?

Fredericksburg VA to Denver CO and back, once in a 2018 JLU Willys (pulling a trailer on the way back) and most recently in a 2021 JLUR.

Jeeps are great road trip vehicles.

<350mi from dealer to my house. It was quite enjoyable. Took my buddy and I like 6 - 8 hrs just relaxing and stopping when we wanted. 2-door JLR with soft top (ATs, not MTs). Averaged 27.5mpg (hand calculated at fuel up) from TN to IN with lots of rain and some wind, this was with 91+ octane trying to do 60mph or lower when I could to help break in engine. First 50-ish miles was on back roads varying RPMs and staying in lower gears. Just turned over 800mi last night when I got home from work.
