The way you've been describing it definitely makes me think it's broken. Add that to your list for the next dealer visit.Wow, mine must definitely be broken then. On the max distance mine gets even closer than that car in the right lane.
Ditto on my 2020. Someone in marketing must have come up with this "great" idea.Depressing the clutch in my 21 cancels the cruise control.
I think there’s something wrong with yours. This is mine at max distance at 66 MPH. That's too close???

The closest setting seems to be appropriate for interstate driving while a bit too close for me at lower speeds. The distances also seem comparable to other vehicles we've had / driven with adaptive cruise.I think there’s something wrong with yours.
Maybe it’s just a photo perspective issue then. How many car lengths would you say it is?The closest setting seems to be appropriate for interstate driving while a bit too close for me at lower speeds. The distances also seem comparable to other vehicles we've had / driven with adaptive cruise.
It was somewhere between three and four seconds.Maybe it’s just a photo perspective issue then. How many car lengths would you say it is?
On my 2020 JL, when CC is engaged the clutch and gear shifting does not cancel that feature. It seems that my JL'S CC operation is just like ACC except for speed adjustment based on the vehicle's visual sensors.Question: what year is your Wrangler? Also, does CC cancel when you hit the clutch pedal?
Thanks for the update. My theory is that if I were to somehow disable ACC entirely (as if it never had ACC from the factory), perhaps the CC would behave more similarly to my 2018, which does not have CC.On my 2020 JL, when CC is engaged the clutch and gear shifting does not cancel that feature.
