I have to admit that the new JL is amazing compared to my 99 TJ I drove for 23 years. It's a big adjustment getting used to the dependence on electronics however. The dual battery system has been an issue for me for several months. The not starting just seems like another symptom in my case. I'll be making a dealer appt. in the near future although I'm not holding my breath anything will come of it.

In my case it seemed that it wouldn't go from ACC to RUN and the brake pedal felt firm, FWIW.

If it happens again, I'll video the event. At the time it happened, I was just trying anythingI could think of to get it fired up.

Update:
i disconnected the positive terminal waited a while.
The battery discharged too much from being in the stuck mode overnight.
Jumped started the battery, the jeep started up fine.
Check engine light is now on.
Drove around a while then restarted but check engine light still on.

Either put on a charger, or drive around for 30-40 minutes, for all components to check in with the ECU and clear any codes.

You may have overlooked my grammer but it was plural, as in disconnect 'both' batteries.

I did not overlook what you posted...

It's just, I would instruct a Novice .... not to disconnect positives on both Main and Aux batteries just to do a total 12v kill on a JL.

Many Novices do read these thread...

It makes more sense to do as in the screen shot I posted..

I might add a guy/a Novice especially, has less chance of getting into an issue like blowing a fuse in the high amp fuse array if he leaves the pos cables alone... unless he has a need to fool with them.

so I started a similar post with a similar issue. I have the manual transmission and the dash lights up like normal, put the key to the button, and no start, doesn't even kick on the starter. I pulled the battery and took it to AutoZone, it's healthy and fully charged, the terminals are clean, and full of gas no issues on the dash.

Here is the kicker, I was able to jump it to my wife's minivan and it started - WTH. Would love to know what's going on, my dealer can't look at the car for two more weeks...

Check this out...made a video showing whats going on... see similar post called "starting drama"

Any luck. My rubicon automatic won't even go into acc mode or start but cluster just jeeps saying push to start foot on brake and nothing...yet cluster and prndl will never turn off either. I have no aux battery.
Seems like bcm, bent pins or security lock out if possible as I had pcm out all day to change a washer bottle pump
