Started the Jeep with the remote starter, but now can’t start the engine again.
The dash message says press brake to start but nothing happens
Doors lock and unlock, activated alarm then shut it off but message is stuck
Tried both keys no difference
Any ideas what to do ?

Try pressing the Start button with the end of the key fob.

I thought about this too, but it's a solution for a dead fob. OP said he tried both fobs and activated the alarm, so it wouldn't be that.

I know. This is to see if the receiver is weak in the frequency range of detection. Somewhere around 315 MHz.

It's likely disabled for something more common like fuel level, door ajar, hood ajar, etc...

Are you low on fuel?
^^^ this!

If you have a low-fuel warning light, a CEL, an ESS Unavailable message, or any other type of warning light on, it will disable the remote start function until the indicated warning has been addressed.

OP isn't saying it won't remote start anymore, he is saying it won't start. He is clearly inside the jeep as he is reading what he called a stuck message. Not a fob issue as the message would say fob not in vehicle.

Computer locked.

Does the Jeep go into the ACC and RUN positions as you attempt to start it?

I won't go into depth on how the LF antennas and receivers work, but I agree it's not the FOB. It's just a troubleshooting step to start eliminating causes associated with the first symptom (removing the 315MHz requirement). If you just unplug the battery and plug it back in and it works, then you have done nothing to try and find the cause. I owned a Diagnostics business and I have found the LF receivers will cause all sorts of issues (Shorted LF antennas are a pain). The goal of getting the Jeep started (your approach) and the goal of finding the cause (my approach) is two different things. Let's wait and get a video or pics; something more than the first post. It'll be something simple, I'm sure. The last one of these I troubleshot ended up being the Start switch itself. That JL wouldn't go into ACC or RUN though. The initial complaint was the Jeep wouldn't remote start intermittently. When it would run, it would shut off immediately.

OR

the OP can just have it flat towed to the dealer and use the warranty.

This is a jeep, if you apply a gold standard test to every anomaly you would never leave your driveway.

Had the same thing happen on my 22 3.6 last week after a trickle charge session. I went in the house after the start button wouldn't work and it yelled at me for removing the fob from the jeep (it was in ACC and wouldn't come out of that mode). Came back out in a few minutes, and it started. Been fine since.

I think a 'reset' by removing the pos cables might do the trick.

On the contrary, applying a gold standard to every issue allows the rig to leave the driveway every time you want it to. That standard is what provides the highest probability of making it off the trail or home from the grocery store, with your 2 kids in the back, in the rain. It's just two different approaches to a problem. No worries from me. I'm sure a battery reset will work for him. It would just be nice to have more info. Pics/Video or something.
