My 2025 Sahara doesn’t say “Gorilla” on it and has a crack. It’s not really in the way, but I was curious what they cost, being they are so small and the JL has a long run.

Insurance companies tend to raise your rates so small claims aren’t really worth it. Curious if a cash deal through a small shop might be quick and painless.

Are there many options? I haven’t had a windshield installed in a decade, and they were cheap back then, couple hundred bucks.

You would likely get more accurate responses by calling auto glass repair shops local to you.

my insurance company does not raise rates for glass replacement and always replaces with OEM glass..I have had no less than 10 windshields replaced on wranglers no deductible on glass.. might want to check your insurance company...

I paid 275 installed for regular glass two years ago. No cracks. Small shop called discount auto glass. Quick install too!

To replace my Gorilla Glass was around $1200 in April 2024. Stupid me forgot to check the zero deductible glass on my policy. Ended up buying a regular glass windshield for about $800. Fixed my deductible so I can get GG next time.

2024+ will have the antenna built in, and you may have the version with the heated part for the camera. This narrows down what you can use. When I last checked the windshield was $1200 + installation + tax and only available at a dealer, but that was some time ago. Thus I have had a cracked windshield for more than two years.

$825 last month for mine from safelite. Not GG but has the adaptive cruise. Windshield is cheap but they screw you on “recalibrating” the ACC. 3 years, 3 windshields…

Prices vary, calibration is a scam and unnecessary on Wranglers...don't pay for it!

I've read of plenty of cracked windshields, is the Gorilla Glass really stronger?

Knock wood I'm at 2 years on gg with no cracks, couple little nicks but not cracking. I usually replace every year, so in my case gg is working.

Progressive will hold glass claims against you, 7 in 7 years, they will deny coverage.

Good to hear no cracks only minor nicks. I usually only replace if the crack is bothersome location or the haze of many tiny sand nicks. Always done on my dime since I know how most insurance companies work.

Yeah USAA used to be great but they got greedy and now they suck like all other insurance companies, let almost anyone join not just veterans/active duty and close family. Had two claims in the past year both the other driver's fault (almost nothing for years before this) and they raised our rates twice now!

Y'll scared me into getting $0 glass deductible. I have Progressive. I think the no claim penalty for glass is a state specific thing. Oklahoma doesn't prohibit it so I'll have to keep the claims down.

Yeah when I got my first JL I sprung for no-deductible glass coverage...it's like $1.something per month and I get no-hassle full OEM glass replacement. I've used it five times over three different JLs thus far and it has not affected my rates at all.
