Not when we’re charging by the hour ???Another warning sticker is in the works. Attorneys work faster than engineers.
Washer? I barely know her. This story solidifies the fact that Jeep owners are much more adventurous than 'normal' folk! I salute you sir and your nerves of steel as you reach to push that 'washer' button.
Why? My gut says it’s a structural thing but it’s really not any different than a soft or hard top going topless.Just be aware that if you have the one-touch roof, Jeep recommends against putting the front windshield down.
It’s in the owners manual:Why? My gut says it’s a structural thing but it’s really not any different than a soft or hard top going topless.
Ha! My narrow mind never considered having the windshield down but the top on. Now it makes sense. It’s in the owners manual:
“CAUTION:
Lowering of the windshield is NOT recommended in vehicles equipped with a Power Sliding Top. Damage will occur to the top as well as the header seal.”
My guess is if you get up to speed with the windshield down and the power top closed, the wind can do some damage and try to lift the top off the tracks, and debris/wind could damage seals.
