I think it depends on the dealer. My order is price protected until I get it. I dont have a trade in but have been told they determine the trade in value at the time of trade in which makes sense to me.

Right, but they kind of have you over a barrel after you've waited weeks and deposit placed. This is especially true if you got a great deal on the new one -- the want to make up lost profit by low balling your trade. But that's the way it works, so is what it is.

It would be best to get rid of your existing vehicle somewhere else like Carvana, CarMax, or private sale, even if you do lose tax savings of a trade in. But yeah, that's a hassle.

You're moving right along, congrats! I still have nothing on mine, over three weeks now since order and still no VIN or progress.

Good news, I suspect they will be built in runs or groups for production purposes so more might be coming.

Congrats. I was told this week that my Willys 392 would most likely be a 27 by the time it gets produced. Kinda sucks since I was also told the 27's would not start being produced until late July.

I ordered a month ago, I agree these are all good things but the hard part is I would potentially not see it until late August/early September. I just started looking around at some MOABs on lots to see if anyone wants to make a deal. So far not much luck. I have nothing to lose.

I know. I should have just ordered when @Dudley Dawson did. I'd have it already. Summer will be over before I get it.

Ordered the wife a new willys 392 June 8th. Dealer said 7 to 8 weeks is when they got there last one.

This does not make sense, I don't know of anyone who has a Willys 392 yet and they could not be ordered until the beginning of May so their math does not math even if they did get one.

I ordered may 4th and the status on the tracker showed “ built” yesterday, it’s gotta be one of the first ones I imagine..
