See I am the opposite. I am waiting on the Willys because I only want the soft top. Which can't be had as a stand alone option on the Moab.

But... I have zero faith it gets released any time soon. Do a quick search and you will see a ton of Moabs sitting on lots with big discounts. A 392 $10k cheaper will make it worse on the Moab. Jeep messed up releasing the Moab first. They should have done the Willys with limited options then released the Moab with more options at a higher price point. Add in $5 a gallon premium fuel and they are going to struggle to move the Moab.
while I don’t disagree with you regarding them delaying orders they could at least do the bare minimum and provide customers the available options and true release date.

Bingo! This was a major marketing screw up. Most ppl don’t need a front locker or sway bar disconnect for $10k more. It is exactly why I feel Jeep won’t offer the SOT on the Willys — to steer customers to the more complex Moab. The only thing I’m willing to give up is the heated steering wheel, and being in the Midwest with a convertible, that kinda hurts. Lol

Worst is the 24/25 392 FE buyers. Look at what they are selling for used right now. LOW LOW miles and in the mid to upper $70s and just sitting on lots. That alone should tell you the market demand. The Willys will be a huge hit but at the expense of the more expensive 392.

Don’t worry, it’ll likely be available… for $3K, instead of the just $1K on the MOAB.

I’m fine with 3K top, still 8k cheaper than a MOAB for stuff I don’t want or need.

SOT has had more than it’s share price marketing games…. $2K with a standard painted top- $4K over a $2K black top option originally. (at least made sense) Later raised to full price regardless of a standard painted top or not. Now reduced to $3K and $1K over painted.

edit- the repair for ONE broken PLASTIC crossbar was $1,730. Fortunately Max Care covered - the $100 deductible. I’m nearly $400 ahead with this first claim. 🤔
