It just so happens that the last model year of the JL (2028) will also be the 25th anniversary of the Rubicon.

What do you think? Will they go out with a bang? Or just be decals, plaques/badges/medallions, embroidery, different wheels, and maybe new color options? Or nothing at all?

Jeep needs to get their head out of the sand and realize what customers want if they expect the model to survive. I’m not in the market currently owning a 2022 Rubicon with an XR package but it looks like what I bought can’t be duplicated. Jeep is making a serious mistake with this in my mind. It appears there are options that you can’t get on the standard Rubicon (XR, 315/70 tires, steel bumpers without a winch, 4.56 axle) while when you step up to a Rubicon X you are forced to take a hard top (dual top group if you desire a soft top) and color keyed fenders, leather interior; all items I don’t want, all for a price of about $7000 more. Come on Jeep; let the customer build their Jeep ala carte the way they want, not how you want us to buy it.

If their track record in recent years holds true, it will be a combo of stickers (*see the Jurassic Park anniversary whatever thing they did) for the masses and a limited run of "25th" badge laden JL's that will be announced a few months before the 2028/9 redesign is introduced.

You'd think I was being sarcastic...and I am, but I wouldn't be surprised if something like this happens ?

The real question should be, how many of us will be able to afford the damn things by 2028? ?
