WiFi Connection Issues

Hello, I’m new here. I just purchased my first Jeep and so far I love it! I was trying to turn on my wifi hotspot because I want my kids to be able to work on their homework while we are on an upcoming trip. I kept getting the error message that wifi was unavailable on my vehicle, despite the vehicle itself being equipped. I called AT&T and their response was that Jeep has not had functional wifi hotspots since Nov 2021. Is this accurate? How is it possible that this issue has not been resolved in nearly a year?

I've read somewhere that the fuse could be pulled and reinserted for the radio as a possible reset.
I'm to lazy to try it? but I have the issue in my 2021 after it working initially.

I think I did read they yanked it out.

Why don't you just mobile hotspot your phone?

That would work except that there isn’t cell service where I’m headed. We live in the mountains and often cell towers cannot provide coverage yet the vehicle’s service appears available. This is why I was hoping to activate the feature ahead of an 8-hour drive.

That appears to be a temporary fix for vehicles that already have active hotspots. Unfortunately, it seems that new vehicles are prevented from activating due to the issue.

The jeep gets its service from those same cell towers. It wouldn't have worked either. Data has to come from somewhere.

It is really upsetting since I work from my jeep and was one of the perks of buying the jeep I did purchase.
