I've the Oracle flush-mount tail lights on my JLU. They were purchased in Nov. 2021 as part of a pre-sale promotion. I was the first buyer to receive them during the initial shipments in early Jan. 2022.

The pax-side light failed in Jan. 2024 (specifically, just the parking light illumination). I received a one-time exception for an out-of-warranty replacement.

The reverse light illumination is as bright as everyone suggests.

Given the replacement cost of the Oracles, or especially the de-facto Morimoto clones, I'll just reinstall the OEM tail lights if or when that ever becomes necessary.

Which ones are these? How bright is the reverse light?
Winjet (smoked)
Reverse lights are good but I installed the Oracle reflector reverse lights at same time so don’t know exactly how bright they are.
They’re built with a connection to be able to connect to the Oracles without splicing into any wires for reverse lights.

I paid $212

Your Oracles went out?
Yes, sir. The first one in about 6 months. The turn signal part on the pax side went out. I told Oracle about it, they asked for a video, I sent it, and they sent me a new light. Easy peasy. However, about nine months later, the driver's side started doing weird things (flashing, glitching, etc.), and since the warranty was up, I just switched to Morimoto since they were on sale and had a much longer warranty. I like them. They are almost as flush as the Oracles, and the blind spot monitoring works as it should. Would recommend.

How's the reverse lights at night? Says dual lights but they look like they would be dim
All lights are bright...the taillights, the brake lights & the backup lights. You can get orange turn signals if you run a wire from the front turn signals, I didn't do that, so they blink red like the brake lights. When you turn them on, they go thru a "dancing" routine, kinda cool. They're total plug & play, at least in JLs...

+1 for being white with black hardtop for visual reference

Any photo/video of reverse at night?
Everyone perceives brightness differently. I have no complaints.

I found this video.

I've been using these for almost 5 years. Not a deep smoked lense so the red is plenty bright. The reverse in the center is too small, but I have a small Baja light on the bumper.

Since they promoted the backup light bar …
I have read a couple reports they don’t fit the top license plate mounts for a steel bumper (one drilled lower holes, one returned it). I didn’t get it so I can neither confirm nor deny. Maybe someone else can.

Just swapped in some Morimoto smoked lenses, added the optional license plate boost bar. Very pleased - solid product.

I had to drill a couple of small holes directly below the original mount locations. Plus a third hole to feed the wire. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Plug and play. Very bright.

Love my rough country tails… bought these after being disappointed with the quality on some I previously bought at extremeterrain

i'm using the basic lamp housings, upgraded with LED bulbs.

i didn't like the light pattern the factory LEDs produced or the fact that they're basically expensive and disposable if anything goes wrong with them, so didn't do the LED Option when i ordered my JL(U).

good LEDs for the Reverse lamps made a surprising difference.

LED's in my reverse lamps (Diode Dynamics). Very bright. I too did not get the LED option or the blind spot monitoring. I changed my headlamp bulbs to Diode Dynamics bulbs, huge difference, great bulbs. I like the fact that I have the Jeep grille in my headlights. The pattern is very good.
