I have the same dilemma, though i think i've made the choice to go with the "HD" panel. I live very close to Death Valley and electronics don't do well when left in vehicles here during the summer, i've also read some reviews that say the touchscreen is finicky and some people complaining that you have to hit a "button" on the touch screen several times to get it to activate when they start getting wonky.
