I have a Rubicon unlimited jl and plan on keeping stock wheels with the Mopar 2 inch lift. I want 35 inch KO2s. Which would be best.
35/12.5/17 E rated or 315/70/17 D rated.

If it were me I would go C or D rated instead of E on a Jeep.

315's come in C or E. I went C, no regrets. They weigh within a pound of each other, (At least in the 315) and the 315 is nearly identical in dimension to the 35. The 35 might be half an inch wider, IIRC. The C and E 315 really are not that different. I doubt the construction is very different. The C works very well with that lift and the Fox shocks. There is no wandering and the ride is slightly better than stock, IMO. Off-road, they are simply amazing. I feel they are every bit as good as the KM2 in everything but the gummiest mud, and they are superior in sand.

Either way, you are getting a great tire. I have not driven the E, so keep in mind my opinions on it are speculative. I am VERY happy with the C, though.

I think the Goodyear Duratrac in 315 comes in a D. It is a little (2 or 3 pounds) lighter than the BFG, but I don't think their sidewalls hold up to abuse as well as even the C BFG.

Definitely a C. E’s will be a bit stronger but not worth the ride.
