Chat can see if car was delivered or not. They cant give you an ETA but they see if dealer has it. If car still in trnsit chat says " no dealer ETA call back in weeks", if car was delivered they say " contact dealer"...If you said exactly what you've been told "contact dealer" then dealer has it

^This is why I keep a tab open for my dealers inventory. If my car shows up on their lot or "in transit" inventory, I'll know!
For what it is worth, my dealer (and presumably others would be the same) never showed my jeep on their inventory, even when it sat on the lot for a week because I was travelling for work.

I left a long "you gotta do better on logistics" review in my Jeep Survey. It's a MESS. I could send them an Apple Tag in an envelope to put on the front seat and get better data than they're giving out. I told them as a matter of fact - if they offered that as a service, most people would pay because your tracking and logistics management is horrible.
That's actually a really good idea. Order that from the factory. Include that in your fee. You get to track it personally and you get an Apple Tag when you get it. It's a win-win.

I thought a lot of this backlog was due to truck drivers still. They need them to get these to the yards for train transport and then from the train yard out to dealers. COVID has given everyone a really convenient excuse to do a shitty job or just stay at home and hang out. Not saying that's all that's going on here. Didn't realize they were 'hacked' either. Still, you'd hope there was a first out, first on the truck thing going on, but it sounds like that may not be the case.

Not sure why y'all complaining about jeep. Go look at other makes and see how they are doing. Jeep is producing faster then all. If u didn't know, there's a trucker shortage. Go buy a bronco and wait a year

A year?!! Yesterday was the 1-year anniversary of my JLUR ownership. I ordered it 4 months after the Bronco that I eventually cancelled. My brother-in-law is still waiting on the Bronce he ordered BEFORE I did....and he's paying a lot more.

I know I am just ranting, and I know no one here can answer the question, but where is my damn Wrangler!??! I can understand long build queues, few parts, restricted supply lines etc. etc. What I can't understand is why my Wrangler has been sitting, fully assembled, for > 6 weeks, in Shipping, with no ETA. I can't understand why there's such a thing as "Jeep Chat" when they literally can't tell you anything about the situation (other than "ask your dealer" - really???? If my freakin' dealer knew anything do you think I'd be asking you????). I don't understand what 'opening a case' means when there's no way to get a response on a case number from Jeep Chat either??? I can't understand why no one at FCA seems to care that they have sunk $$$ into building something and can't offset it with $$$$ revenue because they can't seem to ship anything anywhere. But most of all, I can't understand how there can be no ETA!!!! For the love of all that is Holy, how can you have no idea when you are going to be able to ship something, even if there's an X week backlog, how is it you don't know that!????????!

I'm about this far from cancelling my order and walking away, I know it will hurt no one to do that, the dealer will still sell it (for more than my agreed price I am quite sure given the 3 months inflation since my order) and FCA will still get there money in the same time the would have done before, and I still won't have a damn vehicle - but sit here "powerless" to do anything accept be 'grateful' that I have a place in a queue of unknown length, to pay an unbelievably large amount of money is grinding me down.

Most of all, I am frustrated that no one in FCA seems to care or is going to have any negative consequences for their complete lack of ability to manage even the most basic of processes and I am not sure I want to be part of propping up this kind of sad excuse for industry - of course, if there were a vehicle manufacturer that didn't suck it'd be an easier choice to just give up and switch.

And yes, I know that there are others that have waited longer, and no, that doesn't make me feel any better.

Ok, rant over - sorry for that.
Rant is accepted, lol. Hope it feels a little better and hope you get your Jeep soon. My windshield cracked sitting in my driveway and I paid for the damn gorilla glass, went to dealer they ordered and just yesterday they finally got it in, This wait times are just BS- mind you the crack happened April 2nd. Best of Luck and Keep the Jeep wave going also flipping off the dealers lot sometime is fun too.

Neither the OP nor I are complaining about production. It’s the after production issue. Jeeps sitting in a lot fully built yet not getting shipped. It’s not a trucker shortage issue we’re talking about either. Newer Jeeps coming off the line are getting shipped out ahead of vehicles that have been in “shipping” for 2 months.
Now there are more than a few posts from folks out there with orders still from 2021 who are still waiting on theirs to be built. That’s insane.
It’s a kin to standing in line for hours at the customer service desk of a retail store and trying to get help while the people behind the desk are answering phone calls and helping those folks first while looking you in the eye like “what are you going to do about it? Go ahead and walk away, it’s no skin off my back and you just wasted all your own time”.
I understand there’s always going to be some hiccups but in general, like someone mentioned, it should be first in - first out assuming no other holdups.
The most frustrating thing is not being able to contact anyone with any information. Nobody will give me contact information for someone I can call and get a reason why or be able to escalate.

You think it’s bad now wait 6 months. Things are getting worse in the supply chain.
Jeep still isn't as screwed up as Ford. Only way to get a Bronco is to order a stripped down soft top model with base engine. Any options screw you. I ordered a Bronco last December and it looks like I'm getting bumped to a 2023 model.

Yeah...Ford is a complete sh*t show. I ordered a Bronco last December and don't have a build date or VIN. Ordered a Wrangler on 4/14 and had a VIN 6 days later. I'll be cancelling my Bronco order. I know....the dealership will be happy as they're asking $20k over MSRP for Broncos on the lot. But they won't have my money, so that's fine. Got my Wrangler for 1% under invoice as well. What other brands are offering discounts in this environment? None.

I gave up on Jeep’s screwed up systems and bought a similarly equipped unit from stock elsewhere. Got my deposit back on the ordered unit.

I like the vehicle but I’m still pissed at the company because of all the wasted time and lies.
