Hello, I am looking to upgrade my wheels and tires. I would like my tires to stick out about an inch maybe a little less. What offset would that be? Someone please explain that to me!

Visualizer: https://tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/

Your stock wheels are +44.5 mm offset. Stock tire size is on the door sticker or on the side of the tire.

Lower offset moved the centerline of the wheel/tire assembly outward. 25.4 mm is an inch, so +19mm offset is about an inch further out.

You also need to add for half of the tire width increase. Using metric tire measurements the width is the first number (also in mm). Every inch of width adds half an inch of "poke".

That link will calculate all this for you.

Mine are kmc 550 which are 17x8.5 and have a +10 offset. Imo perfect amount of poke and right around what you're after.

If you want them to stick out an inch or less, then zero offset. Look at the picture @Blues Fan 30 posted above. His are +10, if you go with zero, they will stick out another 1/3" or so.

Don't go into the negative offsets on a stock suspension, it looks off and may rub on the fenders when you turn.

As a basic rule, the more lift, the bigger the tire, the more offset you can go.

it matter which model you have. does it have the wide or narrow axles? a set of wheels that stick out on a sport are really going to stick out on a rubicon.

I have learned ALOT on this forum, but not from using search....
The forum can teach you A LOT, even more if you search. It is not great with spelling though. Alot isn't a word.
