Hello, my name is Darryl.

I am not in a rush, so I thought I would do a basic inquiry.

Jeep info.
2021 JLU Willys Sport.
Stock size Rubicon wheels and BFG M/T tires.
2" Day Star spacer lift.

Just some quick FYI's. Your store locator on here doesn't work.
Your wheel visualizer, not great

I have been researching wheels and tires since before I actually got my jeep. There are so many it can be overwhelming. I do a lot of research and am really picky.

I finally found some I could live with and I don't think you guys carry either the wheel or tires. So I thought I would still give you a chance to reply.

Wheels - Motiv off road 427 Glock 17x9.

Tires - milestar Patagonia M/T-02.
Stock Rubicon size. 285/70/17.

My bigger problem is I am in an RV traveling with the wife. Our next stop will be tomorrow around the pigeon forge area.
And this isn't your problem but I have to find something to with the stock wheels and tires besides throw them in the trash. Do you guys offer anything for them?

There are still details, but let's start here.

Thanks, Darryl

Why not just contact the store in PF direct? Or, maybe somewhere further along in the trip where they would have time to order what you want to the store?

Thank you for thinking of us, Darryl. I hope you and your wife are enjoying your travels!

We do not offer Motiv wheels online, however this is a brand we can order for you. Tires we can help with as well, here's the link to them on our website:

LT285/70R-17 Patagonia M/T02 | Discount Tire

Regarding the O.E. assemblies, we do not offer trade-in credit on wheels but we can certainly recycle them for you should you decide to go that direction. For the tires, our stores will sometimes offer trade-in credit that may be applied towards a new purchase. This is something you would need to work directly with the store on to see what they may be able to do.

You had mentioned having troubles with the store locator - may I ask which link you were looking at so I can take a closer look?

Here's a quick link to the store locator on our website, let me know if you run into any issues with this one.

Store Locator | Discount Tire

From what I'm seeing, we do not have any stores in the immediate area of Pigeon Forge, however do have locations just to the west.

Of course I contact different places. What's the difference. Discount tire is a sponsor on here. Not sure if they can even get what I want, so just a general inquiry.

Maybe I do need some magic. Again general inquiry to see possible options.

Any specific reason you need new wheels now?
They are worth a little bit in the aftermarket, why not put new tires on your current wheels for now, then swap them out when you get to a home base? (Even if it's a year from now)

And this was part of the reason for the inquiry. I am considering doing just tires and set of new lug nuts.

Of course I love the wheels I found and would love to have them, lol.

I also would hate to just give up the stock wheels and tires. Sell for a good price, yes. Worst case I would rather pay it forward and know someone could get some good use out of them, again part of the reason for the inquiry.

I will kick it around some more. Thanks.

Good deal. I don't have any experience with the new MT-02s, but I have a set of the originals. Rotate them OFTEN. I change oil at 4000 miles, and rotate them at the same time. Hopefully these aren't as maintenance heavy.

Thank you for your response. The locator I tried was on you initial post here. (Welcome to the Discount Tire Vendor Forum | Please Read Before Posting)

Good to know you can get both. I may just get tires and replace my lug nuts, not decided yet.

I can always stay a few weeks in a given place where there is one of your stores. Order what I decide on and then just have everything installed.

Thank you for your help.

I do the same, 5 tire rotation and oil and filter. May be more difficult now, some parks will let me some won't.

I did do some research on the tires. Supposedly they have improved the M/T-02's in several areas. I really do like them for the cost, so pretty set on trying them out.

let us know what you think of them! Also remember the TPMS sensors were changed in mid 2021, so if you do buy new wheels, swap them over from your current ones.

I was trying not be to long winded in the original post, but the TPMS's were a question.

So I took delivery of my jeep in September of 21. You are saying I can use the OEM sensors?

I think the M/T-02's are higher psi tire? I can still use my OEM sensors?

Thanks.

Thank you for the additional insight and absolutely , happy to help with anything you need.

To touch on the TPMS sensors, you can certainly transfer them over to the new wheel/tire combo.

I think what JT1 was calling out was that nn 2021 Jeep switched sensors, well more specifically 2021 Wranglers with a build date 6/7/2021+, use a new sensor. Aftermarket sensor support is just now starting to catch up, however historically it's been easier for members building new tire/wheel packages to utilize the O.E. sensors that came in the vehicle.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Had the original version of the Patagonias (295/70/17 E-rated), they wore well and do well in dry rocky terrain, I found them to be poor in the wet, and really poor in the cold. Wonder if the new version has addressed that issue w/ the tire, if so it would be a good option, if not, I'd consider a different tire. I've heard of quick tread wear, but I got 30k from mine, maybe having a 2door and the thicker/stiffer E-rated had something to do with that though???

I did read some reviews that said this also. Supposedly they addressed the cold issue, and supposed to be better in wet also with the new -02's.

Some reviews on the new ones did say they were better in snow and cold, guess they changed the side walls to be softer, so not as stiff in cold conditions.

Thanks for the feedback.
