Been using these wafer thin anti-corrosion spacers for years on all my cars/Jeeps, but the company has downsized and only makes them for trailers now:

While unfortunate, I noticed that they do make a 5-lug version, so thinking about ordering a set to try it out on my JL. Just wanted to check in with the experts here to see if anyone has done this or has other recommendations.

Try it again. The best I can do is get you to Jeep. It's a difficult site to get a specific link from. Select the JlL and then you will see various thickness of spacers.

OK thanks. This could be an OK alternative, but it doesn't really work like Wheel Mates. Regardless, it is something to consider and I appreciate the recommendation nonetheless.

Something like this?

https://www.motorsport-tech.com/special/truck/jeep_s

They aren't plastic, but is a barrier between your wheel and the iron brake rotor hub.
Those are metal (aluminum or steel) spacers that start at 1/4 inch thick and the OP posted about plastic anticorrosion shields that are 3/100 of an inch thick. Not the same thing at all.

That being said, at least for me this product sounds like a fix for a problem that doesn't really exist except possibly for boats. I've never run into the issue of my wheels seizing to the hub. You could probably get the same effect on most vehicles by smearing a little anti-seize on the area where the wheel contacts the hub if you were concerned.

Up in the salty north they have those issues. But, a quality anti seize should work between rotations.

I never heard of those plastic barriers. Seems like they would affect the torque between the wheel and hub.

Yup, I just clean it up and put a little anti-seize on it during rotations. I'd say the important thing is keeping a reasonable rotation schedule so you don't run into issues with going years in between applications.

up here in Canada, with our winters and salt, these things only happen to those using steel wheels almost each spring when comes time to switch to summer wheels. On aluminum wheels, it might happen if you never do a yearly wheel rotation and therefore never clean-up the grime that might accumulate with time.

I can’t imagine why a dry climate vehicle would need those?

Heck, I don’t even use anything like that on my boat trailers in FL. Never had a wheel seize on.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Been using copper anti seize for years and always on the hub/rotor facings, always a simple tap to get them free. We live in the sun belt though so YMMV.
