What Tailgate Table do you run?

I run a Tuffy tailgate security vault. The door serves as a table. Pics coming.

It doesn't have the surface area of some of these though.

this tailgate table uses metal backing instead of OEM plastic grill. Plastic grill had filter for vents.
Does metal plate have filter or does it seal up vents?

I went with the Springtail - installed it yesterday. Easy assembly and install and it seems solid with zero vibration or noise. They were on sale last week so I pulled the trigger. I was considering a few others but I liked the features of this one. Here are a couple of pics:

I really do like the idea of attaching items to tailgate table, however that extra space is really valuable when you’re sleeping in the back.

I too went with Springtail, also took advantage of the sale. Install was straight forward after viewing the youtube instructions.

For those interested, we will soon have an optional Riser/Prep surface available....I have them made, just need to get up on the website.

This makes the Springtail table the only one that has a prep surface and can simultaneously hang items on the MOLLE panel.

I Have 10 of the risers built and almost ready to go....should have them on the website by Monday.

Are there any issues with vehicle venting through the tailgate with these solid style kits? I do like these Outbacks because of the nice slide out bamboo table. I also think that the 3 exposed mounts could be used for something?

Honestly not sure about the venting. The foam doesn't completely seal the back so some air would still flow through. I just spent ten days driving around the Jeep on a road trip and didn't notice any problem.

I can only speak for the Springtail table...Initially, we were concerned about the venting and possibly blocking it. After extensive testing we found that there was no issues with a solid panel. That said...the Springtail Table/ MOLLE rack has a gap around the edges (since it sits on spacers) that allows adequate airflow. As for the others that mount directly to the metal tailgate....I don't know.

As far as I can tell the only real function of the vents is to allow ease of shutting doors when the hard top is on and window "ballooning" when the soft top is on.
