This is located just under the alternator, I kind of have my light on it. It has the electrical connection, and then maybe a vacuum line? My guess is something with emissions, but not sure. What is it? thanks

Guess they shove those in different places. Mine is up top. Half the time I dont think it works LOL.

Makes me wonder though why we need a pump. We didnt have one in the good ole days.

to maintain brake vacuum when the engine is stopped during ESS events.

it’s much easier for turbocharged/supercharged vehicles to use a vacuum pump as well. Most modern cars do nowadays.

Makes sense. I disabled my ESS lol. Hate that “feature”
