Weird fob issue

Hello all.
I have a weird fob issue going on. I got the standard fob battery low message a couple weeks back, so I bought 2 batteries and replaced both batteries at the same time. Since then, when ever I am within proximity range, the vehicle constantly tries to unlock the doors and flashes the lights twice. I know it does this when you put your hand on the inside of the door handles, but this is constant when I’m about 10 feet away. I was filling with gas tonight and it was unlocking steady the whole time I was filling. And when I look down at the fob, it is blinking the red light 3 times. I don’t remember it having the red light blinking constantly like that before. Once I’m in and it’s running it doesn’t do this.
I have read where it does this at a car wash when the water hits the door handle and it thinks it’s your hand. But this is steady.
Any thoughts?

I think you can set the Jeep up to unlock when the FOB is near it.

Also, does this happen with both FOBs?

Did the circuit board in the fob get dislodged and is constantly pressing the unlock button? Is the little led in the fob flashing?

Yeah. Both fobs.
Both fobs were going dead at the same time, and both were acting erratically while going dead. But not this way. As they were going dead they were sometimes working to unlock sometimes not. Kinda what you would expect.

Did the circuit board in the fob get dislodged and is constantly pressing the unlock button? Is the little led in the fob flashing?

Not sure about the circuit boards. I’ll have to double check that.
Yes it’s the little red LED flashing on the fob itself. Three blinks.

sounds like either something got water in it or the keyfob internals are touching like a stuck key. if you don't want to go to the dealer you can post pictures but without we are shooting in the dark

Weird, I know the fob led flashes when you grab the handle though I don’t remember how many times it flashes. Try unplugging the doors one at a time and see if it stops. Maybe one of the handles has quit working.

Seems to be the drivers door I think. I lock it, and it unlocks itself shortly after. Both fobs. Which leads me to believe it’s the handle. But why only after I changed the battery?

I had no idea there was a flashing LED on the key fob.

Maybe try reseating the battery?

I can confirm this. I was washing my truck over the weekend and happened to be using a hose with no nozzle. Whenever I was hosing it down the lights would blink. I thought maybe I inadvertently hit the buttons on the fob in my pocket. I was definitely a good 3-4 ft away.
