So the airconditioner in my Rubi 2022 is behaving weird. If I set it to lets say 21C its blowing full hot air when the postion is set to face only. A;so in that position I can hear a Khat-khat-khat sound under driver side dashboard (We are RHD here in India)
When i change direction of airflow to feet/windshield or face/feet the AC stops full hot air and actually pumps out air at 21C. the Khat Khat sound also stops.
Read through the forums about the actuator. Presuming it is the one...how hard is it to change?
And what part number am I looking at? Would my jscan pick up the malfunction?

That khat-khat-khat sound is the sound a stripped plastic gear on your air blend actuator makes as it tries to regulate temperature and direct air flow. It’s a pretty common failure on Stellantis vehicles.

Thank you will order it. How hard is it to replace?

It’s very easy. Pop your glovebox and go for it. You can get an idea of what is involved by checking some of the videos on YouTube.

It’s a common failure on every vehicle everywhere.

YT would help you with a better view of what he's talking about, Pretty much easy to do.
Probably not going to be easy to find a video of a right hand drive.

Ok so ran some diagnostics......need some help from you guys @VKSheridan @mwilk012
Opened up the driver lower panel and the glove box.
My buddy checked 2 actuators which he could see from glove box side. One was controlling fresh air and was making no sound. The other nearer to the center was also making no sound
Then he went under the steering wheel. The one he could access easily and could read the numbers on it 68301848AA was making no sound.
There was a fourth one which he couldnt see because he wasnt carrying his boroscope was the one from which sound was coming from.
From the fiche diagram it seemed to be 68301847AA
Are we on the right track?

Yes sir. The one doing the ticking is typically the one with the stripped gear.
