(still need to re-hide my cables ;) )

Posting in case some do not know how to dim the camera for driving in the dark.
Also showing how to get to the sub-menus for those who have not looked yet.

I ALWAYS reduce the light gathering ability of the back camera when I drive in the dark.

For you and any of the other longer term user. Is anyone bothered by some of the reflections from the interior on the screen? I’m getting used to it but I’m wondering If a matte screen protector would cut down some of that?

Interesting thought. I have mine mounted on the dash for 3 reasons.
-I don't know why, but I still like having the rear mirror.
-When I had it ON the rearview mirror, I seemed to get a lot of unwanted glare from the sun, through the passenger window.
-It is much more convenient and quicker for me to view the dashcam, down and to the right vs. up and right.

Maybe that's just a "me" thing though. No matter, this is the best overall spot for my mount.

I will have to consciously look to see if I have any reflections in its current location. I don't think I do😁

I catch occasional ghost images of objects inside the Jeep although my brain is starting to tune them out. I strongly considered the dash mount but gave my wife a vote and ultimately decided against it for now.

I may have already giving feedback since this is an older thread, but after a full year of usage here is my new feedback. Note, I have it dash mounted.

1. The camera needs stabilization! The videos are way too bouncy to watch.

2. When the top is off the Jeep with the sun shining in, I can't see anything. The reflection of my passenger is all I can see on the screen.

3. I only recently wired it to the battery. I was using the cigarette lighter power adapter all summer and found that it constantly corrupted the SD-Card when it powered off. While off-road, I start the Jeep up and it frequently prompts to format the SD-Card. If I put the SD-Card into my laptop, it works just fine and I can copy off the videos and then I let the Wolfbox reformat it. When I went to Drummond Island for 3 days, I took 4 SD-Cards with me so I could swap them out. But in one day I went through all four. Though I didn't save many videos in the end because of #1. Since wiring it to the battery, I haven't experienced it yet since it can now shut down properly.

@WOLFBOX CAR LIFE I have a question on wiring. I have the 900 TriPro and would like to wire it to the Wrangler’s factory Aux Switch wiring that’s under the glove compartment in the passenger footwell. Instead of using one of the four aux switch wires, I’d like to wire it to the constant on hot wire (not the wire that is tagged to the ignition being on/off) that’s in that aux switch wiring bundle. So, assuming this is possible, what wiring kit do I need to purchase to do this? Thank you, and looking forward to finally getting the system installed!

The hardwire kit is always a good choise. https://wolfbox.com/products/wolfbox-dashcam-multifunctional-hardwire-kit-for-g900tripro
And within the package, the cig lighter is included. That's two ways to connecting the dash cam to your Jeep.
