Water pump leak

Hey all, my 2022 3.6 etorque has a weeping water pump. The dealers say it’s not available but one private shop says it’s is. Anyone know for sure? Anyone install an aftermarket one? Thanks

i replaced a 3.6 water pump yesterday. we had like 11 in stock.

Back in 2022, when I just purchased my 2022 Willys 2 door 3.6L, the water pump was leaking at 500 miles. The water pumps were not immediately available and it took 3 weeks to get one. I was able to drive it until the dealership was able to do the warranty replacement.

So update, had an appointment at Jim Jones in corydon, Indiana this morning for ten o clock for official diagnosis. Waited 20 minutes and they came out and said yes it was bad. Asked me if I wanted to leave it for the weekend and they would give me a loaner and install the new one on Monday. I guess you need to check around at different dealers. Here in Brandenburg they said “good luck” Highly recommend this place. Best dealership experience in possibly decades.

You sure it was the engine water pump? This is a very common part and the parts department is “fire someone” level of incompetent if they couldn’t find one within an hour or two.
