I’ve got a 2024 Sport S 4xe and installed the Performance Wipers about 6 months ago. They’ve been working fine, but recently I noticed the left wiper not spraying fluid and the right one only spraying a little. I figured it was a hold or disconnect in the tubing but couldn’t find any. I hooked up the hood sprayers and it sprays but the fluid doesn’t even reach the windshield. It seems like the pressure just isn’t high enough. Anyone have any thoughts on how to investigate or even fix?

If you mixed brands of washer fluids, there's a possibility that the fluid is contaminated. Open up the reservoir and look for floaters or algae clinging to the inside. When mine was contaminated, I used a high-pressure hose and flushed out all of the gunk. Flush the reservoir, then empty it by turning on your wipers/washer. After the second time around, you should see pressure returning.

Disconnect from the hood and see how much pressure you have. If you have good pressure than the nozzle on the hood is the culprit. If you have bad pressure check the lines and possibly take a hose with a good sprayer on the end and flush the reservoir

No floaters or anything. I had just put in a whole new jug of anti-bug fluid about 3 months ago, and there was no issue then. However, due to that I’d hate to empty and flush it all out just yet.

It’s definitely not with the nozzles. It doesn’t spray with the performance wipers or the hood nozzles. If there’s a blockage, it’s before the joint where the tube to the nozzles connects.

I have a Tech friend that told me when he is faced with this issue.... he will try this first.... he siphons all the fluid out of the windshield washer reservoir and then pours in a bottle of rubbing alcohol. He then runs the windshield washer pump until the sensor / filter is cleaned up a bit and hopefully all is back to normal. Then he fills the reservoir with elcheapo blue wiper fluid (it too has alcohol in it) and runs some of the that fluid through to assure all the rubbing alcohol is evacuated from the system.

I have never tried this approach... I'm just passing info on that I was told..

Remember alcohol removes automotive car wax so you will want to rinse well and rewax the painted areas that get doused with alcohol..

To get to the underside of the windshield washer reservoir / filter / sensoron a JL/JT to access things is a bit of a chore..

HINT: Easiest way to get access, is to do a partial fender liner peel on the frt. driver's side and you will then have full /easy access to the under side of the washer fluid reservoir filter/sensor.

By the way, stop using Rainex or similar fluids... Also, do not mix brands of wiper fluids or mix Rainex with other washer fluids..
