So, my windshield washer is not working. I am getting a little fluid out of it, but nothing like it should be. That is for the front and the back. I tried to get some of the hoses apart in the engine bay to see how far pressure is getting, but I can't figure out how to get the clamps apart. Does anyone know?

Also - thinking I might have to get the tank out, if anyone has experience with that, I would appreciate that advice.

Thanks

Windshield Washer Reservoir filter is partially plugged. Have you been using Rainex solution or Rainex mixed with another solution?

I do believe that I added some Rain X to what was in there. I have been doing some searches and see that might clog everything up.

What is a fix for that?

It's also possible it is the windshield washer nozzle tube hose line going to the 2 front washers.. Either way you can use compressed air (not to much pressure) to clean out the lines/filter.

Go here and find videos, info, etc.. Note, JK and JL are pretty much the same in regard to this..

Thank You!!
I had a guy tell me his slowed down dramatically ... He siphoned out all the fluid in the washer reservoir ... and poured in a bottle of rubbing alcohol..... used the wiper washers up front for a few minutes while parked and the rubbing alcohol cleared the plug and all was aok.

Problem with this is the alcohol removes car wax...

Maybe try but try to minimize wiper washer output to painted areas...

I would also check to see if the hose is kinked where it comes up from the firewall and makes its way across the hood to the squirters. My wife's JLUR has done it a few times and it takes a few seconds to move it where it won't get pinched.

I had a similar issue, no fluid would come from either front or back after Jeep was sitting unused for about 2-3months in Phoenix (not cold weather). I ended up first emptying the whole reservoir then used compressed air (from the portable air compressor I carry in Jeep) to push air through all vents in all directions. Still no luck.
Then I pushed air from the reservoir into the hoses and that kind of unclogged but not fully. Kept pushing air from all hoses and via reservoir for about 30-40mins. Eventually I could feel the air coming out of the other end and filled up the reservoir and got everything working.
Now as a rule of thumb, I use my windshield wipers and spray at least 1-2 times a week (both front and back) to prevent them from getting clogged again.
