  1. Hopefully my stupidity and temper helps others while making you laugh

I use to own a 69 GTO a long time ago. I was replacing the ignition switch. I fought with that thing for hours, would not come out of the steering column. When it finally did, I threw it down so hard on the driveway, I never saw where it came down or landed. I am almost thinking it might be up...
  2. Help Needed - Bad Aux Battery? Mystery Cable??

OK - so I unhooked the battery and then re-attached the ground cable that the dealership neglected too. I then reinstalled fuse 42 and hooked the battery back up. The Jeep was a little hesitant to start at first, but it did and the @! error went away. I took it for a drive and it said that...
  3. Help Needed - Bad Aux Battery? Mystery Cable??

That is it. Do you know that cable is for?
  4. Help Needed - Bad Aux Battery? Mystery Cable??

Thank you. I am going to hook everything back up when I get back into town and try a trickle charger. Hoping that fixes it. I am concerned that cable has been unhooked since the Jeep dealership worked on it. I had my son-in-law take a picture of his and send it to me, I know where it goes now...
  5. Help Needed - Bad Aux Battery? Mystery Cable??

OK - this is a little troubling. I just went out to make sure that I disconnected the right negative cable and as I was pulling - I came up with a cable that is not hooked up. I do have the aux batter negative disconnected from the battery, but I believe the cable end in the picture should be...
  6. Help Needed - Bad Aux Battery? Mystery Cable??

OK - so I went out to drive the Jeep today and it wouldn't start. i saw the gear selector in Drive and realized when I got out in a hurry yesterday, I must have left it in Drive, therefore, leaving the accessory on. I obviously killed the battery. So, I jumped the Jeep and it started right away...
  7. Clean tires help

You can also spray Simple Green on the tire and the follow with Meguiars Hot Wheels. Seems to work for me on the Jeep. You also need to make sure that you are using a stiff bristle brush
  8. Windshield Washer Not Working

I do believe that I added some Rain X to what was in there. I have been doing some searches and see that might clog everything up. What is a fix for that?
  9. Windshield Washer Not Working

So, my windshield washer is not working. I am getting a little fluid out of it, but nothing like it should be. That is for the front and the back. I tried to get some of the hoses apart in the engine bay to see how far pressure is getting, but I can't figure out how to get the clamps apart. Does...
  10. [CLOSED] WINNER ANNOUNCED: DIY Windshield Protection Film Giveaway -- ExoShield ULTRA

  11. Battery protection mode

Thanks. The aux battery is only 1 year old - so it is under a warranty. Appreciate the advice and I am replacing both of them.
  12. Battery protection mode

Mine just had the same message - and then it died on my yesterday. I removed both the main battery and the aux battery. The main battery is testing 12.41 out of the Jeep and the aux battery is testing 11.25. Going to get a new aux battery and see if that helps.
  13. Jeep Died - While Driving

OK - so a day ago I noticed that the Jeep told me that the start/stop function was disabled because the battery was in protection mode. I was on the way to AutoZone and when I came to a red light, the Jeep shut off, like the normal ESS - but it did not start up again. I tried a few times and...
  14. "Rubicon" Red Paint

Hey - call me crazy (actually, my wife already beat you to it), but it bothers me that the tow hooks on the front of my Jeep are bright red, while Rubicon is a deeper red. Anybody know where I can get some red paint that would match the Rubicon red outline on the hood? Thanks
  15. Tire Dressing Suggestions

No matter what tire shine you use, clean the tires first. I use Meguiars Hot Rims Wheel and Tire Cleaner for the tires. I have a hard bristled brush (for the tires only, not the wheels). Make sure they are clean. Then, I always use a water based dressing. Surprisingly, Amor All is water based...

  17. 2019 wrangler

Yes you are going to have an issue. It is called, what can I do next in my Jeep. I have had to replace the aux battery in mine and it had a recall for the steering stabilizer (which did solve the death wobble). But it is all just part of the Jeep experience. I love mine and smile every time I...
  18. Immediately upgrading tires from 33 to 35... how?

I went the @Discount Tire route. I don't you think you can beat their service. Plus, being a veteran, I get a 10% discount. They won me over when I took my wife's car in for a flat tire repair - and they plugged and patched it for free, even though we didn't buy her tires there. Prices seem to...
