Hey folks, here is some info if your planing on installing this winch on your JL

It was a little more work than I was expecting.
I have the first Maximus winch mounting bracket.
https://maximus-3.com
The winch is a warn-zeon-platinum-10-s-recovery-10000lb winch with-spydura synthetic rope.
Mopar winch guard.
The winch is a little too wide and I had to cut/grind part of the frame mounting points on each side where the bumper mounts.
The driver side top nut for the front bumper will not go back on due to the winch being so wide and I’ll have to replace it with a different type of nut. Hope this works.
Due to how wide this winch is I had to mount it in the second set of holes a little back and really close to the front grill. There will be no way to remove the from grill without removing the winch.
A weld in the driver side frame is preventing the winch mounting plate from mounting flush and I had to enlarge one of the mounting holes to get the bolt through.
It took me around three hours to finish.

I used the Warn mounting plate and thankfully didn't have to do any cutting/grinding. That nut was also a tough one to get on, but with a few universals and some patience I was able to get it back on.

Looks Great!

This is the way my JK was. All you have to do is remove the middle tabs on the bottom of the grill and you'll be able to just lift it right out (after removing the top push pins and popping the outer tabs of course).

Yeah not on this one, the only way to do it is to start that nut first and do the others later, even than I’m not 100% sure it would work. I ended up leaving it off

Hey James,
I had a similar experience mounting my zeon platinum 10s, I have the Rockhard 4x4 full width bumper.
The winch is just too wide and was getting stuck between the frame horns so I had to cut/grind some of it.
Are you using any covers for your winch? I originally bought the WARN 91415 cover but it won't fit at all.
The winch is there so tight that it's right up against the frame horns, I can't pull it through to wrap under the winch. I doubt most other covers would fit either.

If you have any recommendations/experiences I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Is the Platinum wider than the standard Zeon 10?

edit: Looks like it's 2" wider?

Hey
I ended up doing the same thing with a hacksaw and grinder to get it to fit.
On the cover mine is left opened. I could not find anything to cover it as well.

let me know what you come up with for a cover if you find something that works.
Here is another thing I noticed, the only way to remove the front grill is removing the winch.
