I have ordered a JLRUXR and wanted to install a Warn Winch on it. Can it be done on the “plastic“ bumper from the factory? Thanks

It can, but normally not super pretty or cheap.

If you chop up the bumper you can use a steel bumper winch plate.
There is at least one top mount winch plate that sits on the bumper and tow hooks.

I'll disagree a little with the previous poster. If there was a good way to install a winch atop a factory plastic bumper, I'd go that route. It's be a lot less money, and it would be essentially the same as any other set up with the winch sitting on top except you'd wouldn't have the hassle of a/m.

I've had two aftermarket bumpers with winch, on a 2021 and 2022. They (a/m bumper) were the only way I knew to get my winch mounted, as I couldn't find a winch mount that utilized the factory plastic bumper. They were a lot more hassle than mounting a winch plate up top (if there was one).

Rock Hard makes a winch mount for plastic bumpers. It's not very aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. Once I'm ready to install a winch, I'm leaning towards the Grimm winch plate and surgery on my plastic bumper. The goal is to make it as invisible as possible.

Thanks for all the replies. Guess it’s an after market bumper for me. Saw a Warn full size one that looks nice.

I had a 2021 JLR and now an identical 2022 JLR with the difference being the bumper/winch combo. One winch sat up high, like the winch plate above. The other sits low, in the bumper. There is no difference in engine temps.
