Thank you!!Hey bud. I got lucky and had many choices since that is outside load barring wall and windows so many studs to work with. Between front and rear doors the hangers are 40” apart (center bolt to center bolt), the space between rear doors is 33” c-to-c. Here is quick sketch lol
how many feet off the ground are your doors hanging. I'm looking to doing the same but will use a 2x6 stud to keep things level.Hey bud. It is 6’ to the bottom of the ARC brackets. It is really preference on how high you want to mount along as they don’t touch floor. IMO, higher the better but they can be heavy.how many feet off the ground are your doors hanging. I'm looking to doing the same but will use a 2x6 stud to keep things level.
Look good . A tip on On using TLP. If it is an older version the bars on top are not open enough to miss the wider brace on JLs top (JKs were narrower). I cut mine because it didn’t set right in the rear. Also, if you can, leave back window open. It helps the top sit more level.installed the ARC brackets this morning using the DIY tips provided on this thread. Thanks to hoag4147 and the others for the inspiration/ideas...
You mean like higher than 6ft or something else? What are your guys thought on going higher up for the 2x6 for the ARCs?
No issue doing that. I almost used my back wall and did over/under. Two doors top and two directly underneath. Front doors can be heavy but not an issue. It truly is a preference thingWhat are your guys thought on going higher up for the 2x6 for the ARCs?
Yeah. Like 7-8’ above the floor. Gets the doors a little higher and away from ‘the scratches zone.’You mean like higher than 6ft or something else?
Thanks! Not too heavy to lift up it would seem.No issue doing that. I almost used my back wall and did over/under. Two doors top and two directly underneath. Front doors can be heavy but not and issue. It truly is a preference thing
