I'd consider Earl for a Willys 392. Close to Sting which most of my previous Jeeps have been.
The neighbor has a Bronco in a similar color, though. Maybe his is closer to Anvil.

If any Jeep official marketing calls it Grey or Gray, then it is officially grey or gray. You can’t really say it is a mistake.

Same would go for Reign, if they say Purple Reign, it is.

Or Pinky Tuscadero.

Or . . .

The official window sticker does not say grey (or gray). Window sticker or ad : .... One of them has to be a mistake. I would bet $$ on the official sticker and the official paint code on the paint being the correct one rather than the ad guy getting it right. But, who knows.

They first introduced the color as Early Gray, but then just morphed it into Earl. Love this color.

The official color on the window stiocker is "Earl Clear-coat." . Dealer / Jeep ads / website make the same mistake of calling it by the tea name. Look at any Earl window sticker, which shows the official color name. Earl clear-coat.

I would be more worried about calling a sticker a stiocker than calling Earl a Earl Gray.

Besides, according to the small print, it's a label and not a sticker (or a stiocker).
